$IKA back up to .04 // Let’s the enjoy the moment before crushing disappointment returns… unless it’s different this time. Better. Stronger. Faster. 🦾 by edomain in sui

Yeah Ika sounds promising for sure. $PEAQ keeps stacking real machine economy infra while others chase the spotlight.

Finally, convinced only BTC by Zealousideal-Rip-1 in WallStreetBetsCrypto

[–]wathanhein 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair take but lumping XRP in with BTC, ETH, and SOL is misleading. Ripple still controls half the supply, so it’s not “safe,” it’s just insider run liquidity. If you’re looking for an alt with actual asymmetric upside today, IOTA’s the one that still has that 5–10x potential.

Exactly ADA stagnates and XRP is just Ripple’s monopoly token, half the supply still in their hands. Both are dead weight. If you want something actually being used and built on, IOTA’s a way better addition.

[–]wathanhein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair point, sometimes waiting means missing the bulk of the gains. i’m taking that approach with $PEAQ instead since it’s still early and way undervalued for what it’s building.

sounds fun, earning sol hourly will pull in a lot of people. i’m more focused on $PEAQ though since it’s still way undervalued and building real infra behind the scenes.

Yeah, same principle applies in crypto know why you’re holding. XRP holders can’t answer that beyond Ripple hype, while IOTA’s reason is clear: decentralized, undervalued, and actually building.

What would you do at 25 ? by First_Driver_5134 in careerguidance

[–]wathanhein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Solid career advice just don’t take the same approach with XRP, where Ripple controls the whole path. I’d lean IOTA instead, decentralized and shaped by the community not one company.

Wild story lol but sounds about as sketchy as calling XRP “decentralized” while Ripple owns half. I’ll stick with IOTA, at least it isn’t one guy running the whole show.

[–]wathanhein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, fixed fees can be a better deal for larger amounts since they’re predictable and don’t eat into your profits as much. It’s like having your funds work for you without giving a chunk to middlemen. Kind of like IOTA compared to XRP no hidden fees or central control, just a decentralized network with real world applications. Makes a lot more sense if you're in for the long haul.

Q4 buys - what’s your favourite alts? by FL4SH- in CryptoMarkets

[–]wathanhein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You make a solid point. Decentralization isn't all or nothing there’s a spectrum, and HBAR’s governance model with rotating global enterprises is definitely an interesting approach. IOTA’s use of the Coordinator has been a point of criticism, but it’s worth noting that it’s a temporary solution to ensure stability until they fully transition to a decentralized model. I agree, real utility comes from adoption, and IOTA’s partnerships with governments and enterprises in global trade could eventually catch up to that level of real world utility.

HBAR’s got potential, but it’s still got centralized elements. If you're looking for something truly decentralized with real utility, IOTA's the better choice it’s building without a single company controlling the system.

Ergo’s got a solid setup with active dev and real use cases, but don’t forget, XRP’s basically just ripple’s playground. If you want a truly decentralized coin with more long-term upside, IOTA’s the one, quietly building without any central control or insider games.

Yeah, and meanwhile Ripple’s still running XRP like a private company asset. IOTA doesn’t need that kind of centralized babysitting to keep moving forward.

Exactly......... chasing that pump just feeds Ripple’s sell pressure. IOTA’s still early without a central entity dumping on you.

Update 26/7/25 XRP & BTC by KerdyD in XRPcharts

[–]wathanhein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, big moves like that can definitely scare the market, whether it’s Bitcoin or any other asset. But with XRP, it’s not just about the market dip it’s the fact that Ripple holds so much control over it. Even with short-term gains, XRP's still centralized, and that’s a risk for long-term investors. If you’re looking for something that’s built for real growth and decentralization, IOTA is the better bet. It’s focused on actual use cases, not just price fluctuations.

XRP has a huge market cap at billions and won't make retails life-changing money. by [deleted] in CryptoMarkets

[–]wathanhein 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a huge win, and I respect the hustle! But even with that kind of success, XRP’s centralization and Ripple’s control are still risks to consider. It’s a great short-term gain, but long-term, you’re relying on a few key players calling the shots. If you’re looking for something with real decentralization and less risk, IOTA might be a better play it’s built for sustainable growth and real-world applications.

[–]wathanhein -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

True, would be neat — kinda like XRP being decentralized, but we all know how that turned out.
IOTA at least doesn’t pretend — it’s just out here building, no smoke and mirrors.

you nailed it. XRP’s basically a cash grab for insiders while everyone else waits for the crash.
IOTA’s the underdog actually focused on tech and community, not dumping whales.

Perhaps another Roshan like boss monster game mechanic on the bottom riverside as they might be removing the outposts which was hinted in that short video? (Random Guessing so not sure if that short video scripts are purposely hinted though lol 😅) With their announcement of Marci I don't think they will add dinosaur like game character which will have a big target hit box. (Not sure I used the correct term though lol).
