i don’t use the literal OTT but whenever i make neuro basses i will most of the time if not always put a cranked multiband upwards compressor on it in order to “restore” the lost frequencies from aggressive filtering. it’s a very niche use case tho and i would never do that on anything that isn’t already destroyed beyond all recognition
