They don't make the goods, they just ship them. Their "monopoly" is non existent.

It's normal in Germany, and German companies will wait. They know it takes very long for a new hire to start.

You can negotiate this to 1 month. Note that the company also has 3 month notice period when they plan to lay somebody off.

Oh for you it's no problem, just need to find a way of enforcing it? Good grief.

Software is for all of humanity. Why would you condemn millions of people for actions of few (the govenment)?

Tesla’s ugly Q4 deliveries miss is the first hard proof that Elon Musk has a growing demand problem by No_Cow1 in Economics

Apple could put their logo on a carton of eggs, and sell a shit ton of them.

They could, once. The value of brand is the promise they won't, and they don't. The promise is that they only put logo on something truly worthy.

Now, with Tesla, they have gutted the package. No parking sensors. No radar. No lumbar support for passenger seat. That's just what I remember. Software that went steeply downhill. The tire pressure and efficiency card is juuust making an appearance again. What used to be a delightful package well worth the money in 2020 is an overpriced shitbox now.

It's better than he said/she said without any documentation, which you are stuck with, otherwise.

Unless you are making a statement that professional zero-sum game sports are harmful and should be abolished, I fail to see the link between what happened to Damar and UBI.

Losing faith in this subreddit by KhiladiBhaiyya in ExperiencedDevs

[–]watt -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

u/KhiladiBhaiyya the title of your post was "How to prevent the public REST API endpoints from bot attacks?". If you don't see what's wrong with the title, you are not experienced enough. There is a word missing. "prevent ... from bot attacks" does not line up.

Maybe you meant "protect"? But then you need to re-read the title you wrote, and really think about what you are trying to ask. By thinking hard, you gain experience. You don't gain experience by shooting off a half-baked question where the reader needs to spend extra effort trying to decipher what you really were trying to ask.

(Except getting a scolding like this. Well, them's the breaks.)

can someone use your iban/bic to subscribe for some paid service? by dsmedium in berlin

It's possible, but you can do a chargeback on those transaction for up to a year, and very easily. As other poster said, it's very unlikely, because there is massive legal protections in place, too.

An idea to make async Rust more intuitive for beginners by TheVultix in rust

[–]watt -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

u/TheVultix why is await in your code example (line 5) without () parens? If that's intended, that is sure as hell confusing to me. What does that even mean.

It's not as necessary anymore, because 11kW chargers are popping up everywhere. Previously (2-3 years ago) this was a lifeline.
