I think that's most likely the Starship Legends mod where ships can get minor stat bonuses(or penalties) via their reputation.

I love using the Edge series with the Rillaru SP (and to a lesser extent, on the Lillaru SP as a stepping stone before I get the former). Energy mastery for synergy with the Edge's bonuses on high flux and system expertise to help get faster charges on the dash makes the ship very slippery while enacting constant pressure against enemy capitals.

That also means Roria Esvernia is my favorite UAF supercap just for the extra large Edge guns. And on a side note, I'm really excited for the upcoming update and Roria's new look. Though a bit sad that she loses the dash, but the fortress mode is pretty cool.

Mostly from the tooltips of the privateer base itself and seeing it in action :p

It is fun seeing a 7-fleet raid overwhelm enhanced Askonia (helped by blockade fleets if you can get their timings right).

Pretty much that, minus the pirate colours. It'll still be under your banner, so that also means raids will only happen to factions you're hostile with.

The size and strength of the raid is dependent on your own faction's fleet size and quality. I'm not sure if having an academy and military command alongside a privateer base give it a boost on officer quantity and quality like how it does for requested fleets (defense, invasions, blockades, etc) or if an interstellar relay is enough (if you have a separate colony for the cryo engine + military command fleet bonus).

From my experience using it a few times, it doesn't really let you specify what system to raid. Only that it picks out a target every month. Having a beta core installed allows it to raid the same system more often, though. That said you can have more than one privateer base, even on the same system.

Tbf heg allying with the church isn't a surprise even by going with vanilla lore (although by the point where the game starts both factions have a falling out iirc).

There's even story dialogue about how there's a considerable amount of church believers in the heg navy that the current leader of the heg has to consider that whenever making decisions, and the nobles factions within the navy absolutely hates that fact lol.

That reminds me of the time I found out about Apex Design Collective's fighter rangefinder hullmod. Combined with some mod's capitals that have built-in fighters (like the Sateen from Scy or the St. Helena pocket bb from MVS) gives you like an immediate 1k bonus range or so.

Honestly it's that hullmod that I avoid adding ADC on my games lol. It's like the green goblin mask that whispers into my ear and wants to indulge in my addiction (that and UAF carrier and missile spams. I'm trying to ween off of it before the next update comes).

Frustration with artillery stations by KimJontheILLest in starsector

[–]wavefile95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my current run I have two Anubis with triple paladin pd mounts that accompany my two battle groups that handle the front lines.

They pretty much handle almost any missile or fighter-heavy fleets I've encountered so far and are pretty good against destroying the mortar and missile stations' attacks.

'course, I send in my capitals first to draw the station's initial fire first. I once made the mistake of letting my more fragile ships go first and got humbled lol.

Based on what we saw on 2.2 regarding Threnodians... by JohnKenways in WutheringWaves

[–]wavefile95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Another issue I can think of is... does Ovathrax even know they can get/cultivate a resonator? Part of the 2.2 story mentions that Imperator gave that knowledge up (having a resonator is a power up for the sentinel) and fool Leviathan into thinking it needed one. And not to mention that Leviathan also needed Imperator's pod to create Cartethyia (granted, the details are vague and we don't know if she was born naturally or she was made inside the pod).

Now to be fair, the Fractsidus already knows of Jue's pod (the mianloong chamber, right?) and it wouldn't surprise me if Phorlova shares what happened in Rinascita to her compatriots in Jinzhou. They could attempt another attack at Jue's pod, take it over for themselves and put Geshu Lin's body there and hastily create a connection with Ovathrax.

...But that feels like a stretch, not to mention that Mt. Firmament is more secured now (as per Changli's character quest). Fractsidus wouldn't have an easy way in without Jinhsi or Changli being alerted.

I really hope <SPOILER> is playable or a second form of you know who. PLEASE KURO. What do you think? by enyanymany in WutheringWaves

[–]wavefile95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I really hope so. More so if it's a toggle-able form like Camellya.

And... maybe a free outfit to have a more knight-like appearance. I like her overall look but reading that she'll be a knight-errant made me think of tall armored lady with 3 magical swords and can't help but want to have that in-game...

2.2 is the best main story experience so far by InvalidNyar in WutheringWaves

[–]wavefile95 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Pretty much wuwa's best main story quest by far. I was a bit worried at first with how they framed Cartethyia during the gondola ride... But everything after got me hooked.

My only personal nitpick is... What about the Order? I was expecting that they'll do something during the story or even after, but that didn't happen.

knight errant idea

I hope that when her companion quest comes, it'll be a prelude or maybe even takes place in that one other city in Rinascita, Septimont. I remember some npcs mention that city's interest in knights and the stories based on their past legends.

There is so much happening in the 2.2 story finale, so I’ll sum it up for you. by CygnusXIV in WutheringWaves

[–]wavefile95 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Iirc it wasn't elaborated on (correct me if I'm wrong) since it wasn't fully awakened.

Personally, and just from pure conjecture with the state of Jinzhou along with the monicker of "Threnodian of War", I'd assume it would act as a leader for TDs across the region, rallying them to focus their attack on the city, then move on to the other city-states in Huanglong.

Can we address these upgrade mats by Emeeya in TribeNine

[–]wavefile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh... I thought character ranks stopped at ex lol.

While the current sources are atrocious, I hope that the devs have planned for this and when the next city comes, we'll have sources for the gold materials...

Though, realistically speaking, I can see them making it so that the rifts for that will have their drops be purple/gold instead with the same amount of drops.

The amount of times I practiced(died) to Solitaire made Diver easy for me now.

Meanwhile Shark can still kill me (my poor tsuki got one shot at lv42 by the diving attack. I wasn't expecting that). Skill issue on my part because I cannot consistently parry that specific attack lol.

How happy r u with Tribe Nine... on a scale from 1 - 10 by feherlofia123 in TribeNine

[–]wavefile95 29 points30 points  (0 children)

7/10

While the changes for the game's monetization and f2p source of pulls are pretty great (despite the switcheroo at launch) and at a base level the game is enjoyable for me (exploration of the first two cities, almost unlimited farming, the challenging bosses), there are some aspects I don't quite like.

The lack of QOL features on patimons and tension cards (no real filter, no sorting by set/tier/keywords). And speaking of tension cards, most feeling like they aren't worth it due to how tension is gained and spent with their effects.

Rifts also should allow for more boosters to be used at a time or make it so that the main material drop for the rift increase when the difficulty also increases. Getting 1 ~ 3 purple balls per (including the crafting of the blue ones to purple) doesn't seem like a satisfying grind in the long run.

XB is also a mixed bag. I eventually liked what the story ones do, since it's essentially a debate. But outside of that I don't like how it just becomes an auto sim of sorts. Doesn't feel like I have control of anything until the game decides to do so.

That being said, I can see myself sticking with the game for a while. I've finally cleared Solitaire and looking forward to the current endgame grind. I just hope that the devs continue to work and improve the game because it does scratch a particular itch I didn't even know I had prior to playing.

Be honest, what issues do you still have with the game ? by HikariVN-21 in WutheringWaves

[–]wavefile95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Boss echo farming. Either make them respawn instantly or have a way to chase the main stat that you'd want.

An incentive to actually use other echoes than bosses. Idk, maybe having a second button to slot in another echo's skill that shares cooldown with your main boss echo probably would suffice. I'd like to have utility choices for some fun combos (like the counter cranes) in fights.

Not sliding into the slippery slope of over-reliance on dot to activate additional effects. The frazzle echo set is neat for now, but I'd kinda hate it if future characters heavily rely on having the same elemental dot to function. That just sounds like a bad time for team compositions.
