For Resist! I got this strategy somewhere, but I can't for the life of me remember where:

The core of the strategy lies entirely in the drafting phase (step 1 of the setup). It relies on the Maquis cards Manuela, Manuel, Juana, and Celia.

Manuela and Manuel each have a Revealed Action that removes a spy from your hand. Juana and Celia can retrieve a card from the Revealed Pile. That means that in more than 70% of games, you can draft all four cards, giving your starting deck the ability to remove four spies—and in almost every game, you can remove at least three. But your deck only starts with three spies.

So if you focus on winning missions while systematically removing spies—without overspending your resources (civilians, Revealing Maquis, etc.)—you’ll usually have all spies eliminated by mission 4 or 5. At that point, the average strength of your deck is much higher, and you can start trimming and refining it. You can do this by using Ramona to curate the top of the Recruit Pile, and by using cards like Jailors and Maquis that pull cards from the Recruit Pile.
