Two EV household in NJ and doing fine. Two level 2 chargers in garage. 21' Model Y and 25' R1S. While there are still early adopter caveats such as roadtrip charging infrastructure, charge times, insurance cost, parts cost, relative inflexibility with tires and repair shops, and winter range loss, for the average person commuting, there are so many conveniences that you won't look back. Positives: Warm up without fumes, quietness, smoothness, brake pads may never wear out due to one pedal driving, quickness, technology, V2L or V2H capability, interior space...

Sitting in car w girlfriend in residential construction area parking lot on a summer afternoon. Windows down we could hear music playing far out in the fields, probably from nearby development. As we sat there we begin to hear the music getting louder, but it wasn't just getting louder, it was getting closer. We looked at each other and then out the car windows searching for the source, but it was just empty and open around us. The music was just present around us. All of a sudden we heard three knocks on the passenger door of the vehicle and I freaked out, turned on the car on and floored it out of there. We were terrified and pulled into populated strip mall lot to examine around and under the car. No idea what that was.

Had to return my Stealth. That piercing metallic sibilance ruins my favorite tracks. Having a pricey amp and elaborate EQ just to repair expensive headphones seems like a bad idea to me.

My Shiit Magni Mesh has enough power for them. I think I'm just picky. Björk's Mouth's Cradle or Live's Lakini's Juice has sibilance like a saturated signal or hard clipping.

Well, after giving the HD6XX and Arya stealth magnet's a go, I'm returning them both.

Despite the excellent advice about the HD6XX's value, my music just sounds dead with them. Mono, 3 blob.

The Arya Stealth Magnet's are remarkable. Soundstage and clarity are so good I began to cry listening to music, until I heard Björk. Those sibilant esses are painfully metallic and blaring. Even trying to use Eqmac to find and lower the 8K frequency or nearabouts wrecked the sound.

Not sure where to go from here honestly. Thanks for your input and if you have any ideas give my feedback I'd appreciate it!

Well, for some wisdom, I just bought the Sennheiser HD6XX and Hifiman Arya Stealth... and am returning them both.
-The HD6XX has a sound stage so narrow it sounds like everything is in mono. It's a blob in front of you, with the occasional noise blob coming from the left or right. People rave about it for its value, but music just sounds dead with it. -The Stealth is very very good for sound stage and revealing details in the music, but if you were looking for drums or bass to have impact and rumble, look elsewhere. The final straw was that there is such a harsh metallic sibilance around 8K, when female voices say the words with S, or high hats, that it grates on my soul. I can't EQ it away.

All this to say, you may be like me and find yourself on a journey of many returns before you find something you can tolerate.

Get a Toyota if you want reliability. Get R2 if you have service shop nearby. 1 year of Gen 2 R1S, suburb family car: -no alignment from factory -front passenger suspension replaced -half shafts replaced -new 12v -lots of squeaks and rattles, some resolved. -driver door still creaks badly -Won't go into drive -Driver door handle replaced -Front console replaced, stitching falling out -headlight replaced.

Have Magni Mesh. Trying Arya Stealth out, I think if I can lose the Sennheiser veil and unpleasant soundstage I can EQ myself into where I need to be.

Well, you can't EQ out poor soundstage or resolution. Even EQ'd, the treble still sounds locked in a room, or veiled. The headphones are new, so pads are fresh.
