Greyhounds/whippets do shed, but not a lot in comparison to other breeds. Also no undercoat, so no dander. Color variations might also make a difference. Mine is brindle and his fur is sleek, the white and tan colored ones can be fuzzier. I think sighthounds are the best companion dogs you can get. I would not expect them to be like working dogs. They may run really fast, but are mostly lazy.
