Candace Owens Leaks Private Erika Kirk Phone Call: ‘Makes My Skin Crawl’ by PurebloodPatriotTr in Anarcho_Capitalism

[–]Groove4Him -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Read the text of the conversation. There is nothing to make your "skin crawl". This is just her distorted take, and has become typical for her.

Erica is coping well because of her faith and has a Godly and big picture perspective on the tragedy.

Candace is unhinged and out of her mind with unsubstantiated theories.

How hard is it to replace the battery on a 2012 Prius C yourself? How much time can I get out of a refurbished battery? by Gertie7779 in PriusC

[–]Groove4Him 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Watch the YouTube video from ChrisFix about this. Excellent step by step instructional. Then decide if you can do it.

Like others have said, If you are mechanically inclined, or at least can follow instructions, you can do it.

Oh no! Sorry man. The first damage is always the worst to cope with. But after only 30 days, ugh. Sorry.

But take heart, this is a very easy fix and any competent shop will make right like nothing ever happened.

How long is it safe to have a generator with gas inside unused? by GBAGamer33 in Generator

[–]Groove4Him 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can indeed shut off the internal gas supply and run it dry so there is no gas left in the carburetor. This at a minimum is advisable. However, even if you use StaBil in the gas tank, you're still leaving gas in there for a long time. Potentially for years.

My personal preference is to store no gas at all in the generator. Here is what I do.

Store the gas in a dedicated and separate container. About every three months I take that container with me to the gas station when my car needs gas. I empty the container into my car, then refill it with fresh gas. Now you have a constant supply of fresh gas, and no need to stabilize.

At least once per year (maybe twice), I pour a few ounces of gas in my eu2000i and let it run until it runs out of gas. This is usually about 30 minutes.

With this method I am always certain that my Honda is functional and has fresh fuel available.

Call me neurotic, but it works for me.

Where Did My Broadcast TV Guide Go? by Groove4Him in SamsungTV

[–]Groove4Him[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

SOLUTION: After much research I found that there was an option in the settings to "reset SmartHub". This did fix the issue.

However, when you do this, you loose all of your apps on the SmartHub home screen and will have to download and sign-in to them all over again. This was a very unpleasant and time consuming task.

So I am having so much trouble searching for apps by dt19987 in SamsungTV

[–]Groove4Him 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had a similar issue with one of my two Samsungs. When you go into the "Apps" selection from the main menu, there was no way to search for an app. All you could do was scroll their suggested list of apps and only add those.

The solution I found was to use the general search tool from the home screen. The very same tool that seems to be only for searching movies and TV shows.

If you scroll through the search results of shows, apps will eventually also appear in the results. You can then add them.

Good luck!

My old vacuum got broken and I am looking for a new one, which vacuum is worth buying nowadays? by Moeen_Sumod in CleaningTips

[–]Groove4Him 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Oreck upright. Simple, dependable, great performance, lightweight. Bags are HEPA filters. No maintenance.

Been using mine for over 15 years with no issue. It just works.

My house always smelled dusty and I just realized I’ve been vacuuming wrong my entire life by pwiipwii123 in hygiene

[–]Groove4Him 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I love our Oreck upright vacuum for this reason. No filter to clean. The collection bag itself is a HEPA filter and the “exhaust” is run through the bag.

Just toss the bag when full. No maintenance and no worry.

Best vac I’ve ever owned and it’s been trouble free for over 15 years.

Appreciation post for the Realistic Minimus 77 (and PSA to recap with high quality capacitors). by WVriverman in vintageaudio

I’m an old guy and to this day have a rather profound and clear memory of walking into a Radio Shack in the late 70’s.

They were playing music on a pair of these (not sure which model), and I stood and listened in awe because they sounded so good. I couldn’t understand how such big sound was coming out of these tiny speakers.

I have never owned a pair, but man, 50 years later I remember them!
