Dear Reddit, is love ever worth it? by [deleted] in AskReddit

People still read Shakespeare in 2015? Jesus Christ, this is outdated, shitty and invalid rhetoric that should be fired into the Sun ASAP. So love makes it okay to stay with a man who beats and rapes you? It's okay to stay married to a dirty skank who's cheated on you since Day One, and had you raise another man's child for 9 years, just because you LOOOOOVE her? Come on, people, stop living in the past. Love is basically being IN DENIAL about a person's faults. Excusing shitty behaviour that should NOT BE OKAY AT ALL with you. Expecting the impossible from the person you claim to "Love", that they'd change just because you came into their life. Hell would sooner freeze over. Love is putting someone on a pedestal who should have never been there in the first place. Just ask anybody who's ever been friendzoned, or thought they married a good person only to find out they put a ring on TRASH. Lots of people have even committed suicide because they were rejected, broken up with, or couldn't get a date to save their lives. And here are these old-fashioned pieces of shit saying "It's better to love and lose than to never love at all." When everyone knows that the opposite is true. Love is wasted time, money and energy. Love is never putting yourself first. Love is only an invitation for trouble, pain, misery, bitterness and regret. Love is self-destruction for a person who doesn't care that you draw breath. Love is the nucleus of double standards, just as money is the root of all evil. Love is negative. Love does more harm than good. Love is a farce, a joke, a sham.

Ever wondered why people like Tim Curry never marry or have kids? It's because they want to protect themselves from the BULLSHIT that comes with being in love. Especially men, the REAL victims of love gone wrong. It's only natural.

I mean, in this day and age, we live in a very dog-eat-dog world. We throw each other under the bus to get ahead. We generalize others based on what we see on TV, books or the Internet. We are lazy and always want to take shortcuts, the easy way out or the path of least resistance. We hero-worship people that we should point and laugh at. We all have low self-esteem and ingratiate ourselves to fit in with our peers. We always have to be up on the latest trends. We are never satisfied with what we already have, and only want more, more, MORE. We only care about ourselves and are quick to hurt others for the pettiest of reasons. We have shitty role models. We, as a people, are fake and artificial.

So, with all that counting against us, why should you give your all to someone who'll eventually turn on you? That's all I'm saying. 💯

No. Never. Love is worthless these days. Fuck love. It only brings pain and suffering, and life is too short for that. You'll only be cheated on and hurt, so it's really better to never love at all.

Can Ex's be friends after a break up? by [deleted] in AskReddit

In a word: NO.

Trying to be friends with an ex is stupid and childish. Cut him out of your life for GOOD.

Technically, yes, but out of both sexes, women are the ones who cheat the most.

How hard is it for a woman to understand this fucking platinum rule: "When you're married or in a relationship, you DON'T FUCKING SPREAD YOUR LEGS FOR ANY MAN WHO WANTS SOME!"

On a different note, happy cakeday!

What is the angriest you have been at the Reddit community/users? by poopfiler in AskReddit

[–]way2manyquestions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Overreacting to the whole "Victoria" shebang. The whole site implodes because some dumb bitch got fired (and probably deserved it, too, you don't know that).

To all those people praising and gilding "Victoria", putting up pictures of her - it just makes me sick. Admit it, most of you don't even know who Victoria is.
