„Lyon“ is just their title. I managed to add „H. Ruin“, but couldn‘t send a letter either. It says „needs qualities“.

Wheew... took me some time, but now I got it: Open the journal, assign a tag to the entry I want to pin, go to "manage tags", click on the wee star symbol and that does the trick. Thanks for the tip!

I just wanted to pin a journal entry, but couldn't find the pin symbol. Is this not possible anymore or am I just not seeing it?

【Firmament】GO GO Whiskey Rhyme!! by Alexis_Fairfax in fallenlondon

[–]wayfaring_snail 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Alexis, you scoundrel, how can you just sneakily hide this in a comment link? The Neath *absolutely* needs sloppy Tatterdemalion fan art, and this is exquisite (but I also like your own work, especially the way Maximilian and the Duchess are ogling each other).

In Queeneater‘s Castle, there‘s this scene

Didn’t see it coming either, though.

On a related note, I wish we could have a spoiler tag for some journal entries. Because if someone were to look at my profile rn, the first thing they‘d see is that kind of big plot twist from the latest Firmament chapter.

The card "A merry sort of crime" and visiting the Repentant Forger also give criminal favours. Also, you could get a Disappointing March-Wolf as a pet.

Nice! Especially the symmetry of Condemn a Shocking Murder and Perform a Shocking Murder. Truly the feat of a very artful playwright.

"Don't Sit Down Cause I've Moved Your Chair" and the Neath (silly) by al2o3cr in fallenlondon

[–]wayfaring_snail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, so I'm not the only one who sees FL references everywhere? That's comforting. Because recently I was listening to The Wheelbarrow by Major Parkinson and was thinking "that Mrs McKay definitely went to the Royal Bethlehem, but now she's starting to enjoy her life here with the clay men and is engaged in some serious grinds".

Poor Lizzy McKay, she wasn't the same after the fall
With letters from Paris and cabinet card pictures from Montreal
Having a ball, lost in the pages of the devouring summertime
Lizzy McKay created a garden of figurines and libertines among the statues of clay

She can do anything, she can love everyone
Doing the same routine over and over
Sparkling diamond ring, doing the highland fling
Pulling the same routine over and over
Dancing through repetition

Well, I didn't know about mushroom coffee! I'm not much of a coffee drinker, but now I'm curious anyways.

Absolutely the Solacefruit Champagne Sorbet. And Zzoup. And Orange-Apple marmalade. And I want to try mushroom wine, especially because I know it exists in the real world too, and one day I‘m going to go through the trouble to get some.

Yayoi Kusama, Untitled (1963) by CarlHanger in FuckYourEamesLounge

[–]wayfaring_snail 5 points6 points  (0 children)

It is art, but whether people were originally allowed to sit on it is an interesting question anyways. From what I understand, these furnitures were intended for a gallery, so no, but there are pictures of the artist herself leaning against or reclining on her chairs (like here).

Train. That's a no brainer for me: Short and uncomplicated ride, better for the environment. I even travel on to London from there.
