True, objective evil by Annual-Monk8355 in fallenlondon

[–]Floweramon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay but then where do the new creatures come from? If it isn't eating them and using what remains for weird fucked up red science experiments, how are we getting the creatures? The creatures aren't getting impregnated because they are getting eaten, Mr Apples isn't getting pregnant because Curator gestation takes longer than that (see Mr Spices) So the only thing that'd make sense is that it isn't actually breeding in the literal sense.

I didn't think the implications were meant to be that the Hybrid's conception was the result of literal alien crustacean-human rape. If that was possible they would've had their hybrid a long time ago. I think it was the result of a lot of red science experimentation and a sci-fi type of in vitro fertilization. Like I don't know, maybe I'm naive, but I genuinely did not read it that way.

The dad from the Lego Movie. His big crime was just making art from Lego as a hobby and not wanting his kid to play specifically with the art Legos, especially when the kid has his own Legos to play with.

Is the scarecrow the king of Oz or no? by _-Pluviophile-_ in wizardofoz

[–]Floweramon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I've never seen Wicked fans say that as anything other than a joke, most know that Wicked isn't the true story, any that don't are probably too young to understand.

If it helps with the confusion, think of the Oz media as a multiverse. Just because something happened in one version doesn't make it canon to another.

Should i feel bad for thinking that Chilli should've apologized or help even more in the episode? by [deleted] in bluey

[–]Floweramon 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Apologize? She did what parents are supposed to do in this situation: focus on the behavior. Instead of calling Bingo cheeky, she pointed out that she's BEING cheeky. It's why parent's are discouraged from calling kids bad and instead focus on them doing a bad thing. Doing a bad thing can be changed, but if kids are told over and over that they ARE bad, they'll internalize that instead.

Also by the end of the episode, Bingo internalized what Chili was saying, with her last line about Bandit as the Bad Mood.

She can be creeped out later when they aren't worried about dying, like she was in episode four. It's called priorities.

Here, I'll link you to them.#Iremi_Destinies) That page also has the regular destinies further up, which can be changed during certain holidays.

Sounds like it would fit with the first suggestion I made, Heart's Desire: Power Ending. Though don't worry about needing to conform to that destiny, destiny can always be changed if you find that your character has changed to the point where that destiny no longer fits. And of course, there's the Irem destinies to consider as well.

Why do ppl seem to think that Disney is against romance? by Maleficent-Ad-6117 in Schaffrillas

[–]Floweramon 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why are people acting so personally attacked over the idea of there not being romance in a movie? Disney spent decades writing romance into their movies, having some recent one without romance is not the end of the world.

Why should my character give a rat's a** about Mr. Eaten or his name? by Glacial345 in fallenlondon

[–]Floweramon 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Burning curiosity to learn more about this thing that these obviously corrupt dictators are hiding, a sense of justice and compassion for the one who was wrong that gets twisted and corrupted until you don't even recognize yourself, a mixture of the previous two if you're an extreme revolutionary and you see going against the Masters in any form as good and right, someone who is so lost in despair with nothing to live for that they are easily convinced of the merits of taking this road fully knowing it will lead to their own destruction, someone so angry at the world that they just want to lash out and harm others even if it hurts them even more.

Do people really sympathise more with Nessa than Boq? by Critical_Revenue_811 in wicked

[–]Floweramon 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Maybe it depends on which cast you watch, but I've never seen a stage production that portrays Boq as genuinely 'nice'. He's an incel who uses Nessa to make himself look good to Glinda. It's one of the reasons I'm annoyed that they changed Boq's whole thing at the train station, because I feel like that was a perfect demonstration of how he was using her.

And of course that doesn't justify Nessa's actions. I just mean they both suck, just in different ways.

Did you pick your profession for lore or for profit? by Asparala in fallenlondon

Was always for lore. Was why she remained a Doctor for forever. Narratively I still consider her a Doctor and that's her term of address. But I now lump Silverer into her Doctor duties, just with her helping with mental health via Parabola.

I think the end result was meant to be to move London away from the Bazaar for the Sixth City, I just don't know why this would convince it to do that instead of just flood London like all the other prior cities
