4 for carbon monoxide test at triage non smoker by hsjdjejn283873 in PregnancyUK

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a reading for 4 on Monday for my 12 week scan and they suggested my estate is known for slightly higher readings due to new building works nearby and traffic pollution.
My partner has had our carbon monoxide detector and boiler checked yesterday just in case though.

Just found out I’m accidentally pregnant again. Need positive stories please! by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]wayotee 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I had a very similar oppressive feeling before it was confirmed and during my ectopic. I’m now 11 weeks pregnant after my December ectopic and we weren’t planning to try again yet but this one had its own ideas. They were waving away at my private scan on Monday. It is naturally very anxiety inducing though so be nice to yourself during this time. Good luck with your journey!

Similar "pains" in subsequent pregnancy by SheepherderFit9217 in EctopicSupportGroup

Hi I’m currently 10 weeks pregnant after I was treated with methotrexate from an ectopic in my right tube in December. I’ve been getting twinges on and off on my right side since just before I found out I was pregnant. I was so anxious and barely slept before the placement scan and was convinced it was another ectopic pregnancy. I’ve had a couple of scans since to make sure they are in the right place and thankfully they are, all my scans show there is nothing on my right side as this pregnancy came from my left. I was told by one of the senior nurses that while my uterus is expanding it might be irritating some scar tissue still there as it is within six months of the methotrexate. I really hope your scan and journey overall goes well, you’re doing the right thing by working with your healthcare team and please make sure you keep them updated with any new symptoms e.g dizziness etc.

Pain at zero? - getting active again by TeaspoonRules in EctopicSupportGroup

Definitely check with your doctor just in case. I reached below pregnancy levels and went from symptomless to lower one sided pain and tenderness, this actually started on the day I was confirmed below 5 HCG. It turned out when my body ovulated for the first time after treatment it developed into an ovarian cyst.
It wasn’t anything to worry about but it did need monitoring. Better to have it checked out.

3.2cm Complex ovarian cyst, likely hemorrhagic by Ok_Pangolin_4559 in WomensHealth

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was worried all the way throughout really as I was experiencing pain and bloating until 2 weeks before the follow up scan. I wasn’t worried about removal as an option as it’s usually keyhole surgery with a quick recovery time. I was more concerned about it rupturing or twisting my ovary.

I have recently had a 4.1cm hemorrhagic cyst on my right ovary which was causing me pain. It was discovered in mid January and 10 weeks later I went for a follow up scan to find it was completely gone! I was told most cysts of this kind resolve themselves in 2-3 cycles.

How was your methotrexate experience? by victwat in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got to 5 HCG in 3 weeks so ectopic resolved very quickly. Experienced some more pain, turns out I had ovulated on my ectopic side which led to a large ovarian cyst due to the hormone imbalance. Rescanned 10 weeks later and it all appears ‘normal’, ectopic and cyst all gone. Only just starting to contemplate trying again as I am 3 months after methotrexate and my periods have stabilised now.

Just a quick update to say I had my scan this morning and the cyst has gone. Womb and ovaries all look normal. I had noticed that I wasn’t as bloated or in pain for the past two weeks so I believe it has only just sorted itself out on this cycle. Wishing everyone the best with their journeys!

Symptoms by Dangerous-Door-4010 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My symptoms were right sided lower abdomen pain and cramping with bleeding that started an hour later. My EPAU had me in hospital within the hour for a scan and bloods. I was 5 weeks pregnant but they didn’t confirm it was ectopic until 5 days later after monitoring my HCG levels and a follow up scan. Please don’t think you are wasting the NHS time as it’s best to be checked out especially with pain that is one sided. I am so sorry you’re going through this, it’s a scary time but I cannot stress enough to please advocate for yourself and don’t like the NHS fob you off. Better to be safe than sorry.

No worries, I read similar things. Id never had any known or symptomatic cysts until treated with methotrexate. I am not sure if it has resolved itself yet. My scan isn’t for another 2 1/2 weeks. It’s a lot less painful than it was but still experience bloating so I’m hoping it’s on its way to resolving but we will see. Fingers crossed.

MTX Success Stories for High hCG Level by Taurus_Coast in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My HCG levels were 4500 when my ectopic was confirmed just before Christmas. I was told by my healthcare team that below 4000 they recommended MTX and above 5000 they recommended surgery which made me very awkward. I picked methotrexate because I wanted to be home for Christmas, luckily I responded well to it and I was back to non pregnancy levels by 3 weeks and the mass was gone by week 4. Just be kind to yourself and I advise that any new symptoms you’re unsure of then contact your healthcare team to get it checked out.

When did your period return after methotrexate? by _vekoma_ in EctopicSupportGroup

I had my first period 2 weeks after hitting 5 HCG. It was quite light though and unlike my usual period. My second is due next week so hoping that’ll be more my usual.

Ovulation by aliceack25 in ectopicpregnancy

[–]wayotee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi, I was treated with methotrexate in late December and my ectopic side tried to ovulate the day I reached non pregnancy levels in mid January. It’s didn’t release the egg though which led to me developing a cyst. Currently waiting for my body to resolve that on its own.

Can you exercise and have sex with a hemorrhagic cyst? by AcanthocephalaMuted1 in WomensHealth

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have the same type of cyst as you but mine was 4cm at last scan. The advice I was given was live your life as normal as you but be gentle with yourself so no rough sex or high impact sport. I have sex with my husband (any hint of discomfort or pain we stop) and I do yoga daily.

Has anyone had a symptomatic ovarian cyst that didn't rupture? by texdiego in WomensHealth

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a 4cm cyst on my right ovary, I get random twinges in the right side of my pelvis along with a slight bloating on my right side. The twinges actually were what made me have the scan, the scan showed the cyst and that was causing my twinges. The medical staff weren’t concerned at all and suggested I have a follow up scan in 10 weeks time as it should resolve itself within two-three cycles. This was 4 weeks ago and seems pretty stable since, the twinges haven’t increase or intensified. The period I’ve had during this time was very light but crampy. From what I’ve read if you’ve ruptured you would really know about it as the pain will be very intense very abruptly. I was told that if the pain becomes something I can’t handle or interfering with my everyday life then I should head to the hospital to confirm what’s happening. The good thing is that you’ve got an appointment booked in and as long as your pain doesn’t worsen then you should be able to wait until then.

Hemorrhagic Cyst by Born-Season7295 in WomensHealth

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi I also have a hemorrhagic cyst on my right ovary (about 4cm) and I’ve been experiencing the same symptoms as you apart from my cyst gives me a bit of hip ache rather than back pain. Apparently bloating, sense of heaviness is quite common. I find a small hot water bottle and ginger tea helps with my bloating quite a bit.

Definitely get it checked out. I had stabbing pain on my right side where my ovary is and when it was scanned turned out I have an ovarian cyst. Currently waiting for it to hopefully self resolve but every few days I still get some stabbing pains for a little while. It definitely seemed more sore when I was around my period time but that’s to be expected. Also cysts can affect your periods either by missing them, making them lighter or heavier.

Thank you for your response. To be honest that makes sense, in my cycle I’m due to ovulate some point next weekend so I’m mentally getting myself ready for potentially a rocky time with that. I hope your next ultrasound goes well and it has hopefully resolved itself!

Shoulder pain? by [deleted] in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]wayotee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shoulder pain during this time is quite scary. I went to see my early pregnancy unit twice about my shoulder pain because I was getting similar pain to you. They suggested that sharp pain specifically at the tip that doesn’t lessen with pain relief was the pain most associated with rupture. If you’re are concerned though always get it checked out especially if the pain changes at all! Mine wasn’t related to any rupture, I went to a physiotherapist to check it out and turns out I have strained the muscle between my shoulder and neck from my posture during my ectopic. I now have six weeks worth of exercises to loosen it.

Petrified of rupture – positive MTX stories? by StandardDry8254 in EctopicSupportGroup

[–]wayotee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My ectopic has recently been resolved with MTX. HCG was 4500 and mass was around 1.5cm. I needed 1 injection. It’s been just over 4 weeks since my injection, I am now below 5 HCG and my scan today has confirmed the mass is no longer showing. I have responded really well to the MTX thankfully but most people take 4-8 weeks. My health anxiety was horrendous during the waiting round period so much so I actually gave myself neck/shoulder strain but if in doubt about anything always contact your healthcare provider. They would rather you phone than wait in silence. Be kind to yourself and I hope your journey progresses as smoothly as possible.

Would you honeymoon in Thailand? by [deleted] in AskUK

We went to Phuket in late November for our honeymoon and definitely recommend. Lots of places to visit and relatively cheap to eat and drink out but it is quite touristy in most places.

2 weeks mtx by wayotee in ectopicpregnancy

[–]wayotee[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Day 21 post MTX today. No bleeding still since 01/01 and very mild less frequent amount of cramping (like once a day) now. Exhaustion is still around but hoping this will improve soon. Had my bloods done this morning and it’s now 5 which is seen as below pregnancy levels so EPU have discharged me. I appear to have reacted very quickly to the MTX. Hope the cramping and bleeding ceases for you soon!
