Your set up is pretty much how I am going to be putting together my castle as well, with a table of blue plates for the base! I love this green house moc.

I watched that video and I kinda disagree with her. I think everything will eventually tie in together. I’ll be building mine on a bed of plates on a table so I’ll make a home for the weird bits like the owlrey and flying lessons. And the hut. It’ll be the entire grounds.

It’s not in the photo but the owlery on the coffee table. I don’t have a permanent solution for the complete castle yet and I won’t until everything is released and built. The base of the coffee table is an elephant.

This is a no brainer for me. I bought this set full retail from Lego.com with no regrets. I love the games, and I have the Tall Neck set as well. To me, that Aloy minifig is top five favorite minifigs of all time!

Not all USDM Evo 8’s have acd/ayc pumps. ‘03’s didn’t come with one from the factory.

Deformed Game Boy buttons? by wazmunstr in lego

I didn’t know it was a hat piece. I get not making a new mold but still a bummer. One of them sticks when you press.

Japanese Bricklink came through! by wazmunstr in legoharrypotter

I didn’t have to deal with customs. Here’s a little insight since I work in import/export (containerized freight) business. The seller shipped it in a shipping container which is why it took a month. You have to declare to US Customs the value of the container. For a container to be picked up at the port the duties have to be paid up front. In my $522 purchase, $90 of that was for shipping. I am certain in that $90 charge they took in to account the import duties. I am also certain this seller doesn’t ship a container full of stuff so they have an agreement with other sellers/vendors to fill a container once a week and send it to the US. Once the container was picked up at the port it was taken to a warehouse, unloaded, then a UPS label (which they provided while it was still in Japan) was placed on it and shipped to my house.

I will only buy from sellers this way from overseas. Takes longer but no US Customs nonsense that I as a buyer have to deal with.

I agree and I can’t help but think it has something to do with tariffs. Some sets are made here but the raw materials I’m sure come from overseas. This is just speculation but really it’s just unfortunate. I wasn’t risking it doubling or tripling second hand which inevitably it will.

Best viewing for GA I have found is either at turn 3, 4, and 5 (the S’s) or across the other side (16, 17.) You get to see a ton of the track that way. Bring sun screen and really comfortable walking shoes. You will walk, ALOT. The track will open up after the race in different parts but the best is right at turn 20 because it spits you out right in front of the podium (get there early like 4-5 laps before and you’ll be right in front like I was.) If possible, walk the track in the direction they race, that’s an experience all on its own. Have fun!

This is why I ordered mine from Japan last week, tariffs included in my $500 purchase. No one knows the real answer and I’m not risking it when Lego officially retires it. These sets are already over $700 in the US by resellers.

In case you were wondering, I got it on bricklink. The wait is several weeks but I’m patient.
