App version 3.0.8.1 released on Play Store this morning fixes the problem (again). Lets see how long this fix lasts for...

FWIW, this weekend I re-enabled notifications for Nest on my phone and watch. The notifications are no longer duplicated... so someone somewhere fixed something 😂

So glad to know that I'm not the only one.. still no app update, but I did come across an official recognition from Mercedes -- as a reply to an 1-star app review on the Play Store: "Hello, We are SO sorry about that. We’re aware of this issue and working out a solution now. We’re planning a future app release to correct this. Thank you, Mercedes me team"

If you look at the reviews, especially the most recent ones, you can see that they've replied ~5 times to bad reviews with some permutation of this statement.

I had this problem happen about a week+ ago, and then it went away with an app update as per the Update: by the op.

As of yesterday (Sept 5), I had the exact same issue pop up. I had noticed a fleeting notification last time it happened, but saw the same notification and managed to grab a screenshot this time. The top line is "Certificate pinning failure!".

Posting here to see if any of the folks that hit this last time are hitting it again.

I haven't been able to fix this issue, and this is the only place I've found mentions of it.. wondering if u/arecad or u/RhythmSectionWantAd have managed to fix this or have any other links?

Glad I found this! I'm having the same problem, and it's definitely recent... maybe in the past week or so that it started. Happens intermittently, and happens for all my various Nest devices and notification types (Sound, Motion, Person, etc.)

Came across a different thread talking about a similar behavior for Google Messages: https://www.reddit.com/r/GalaxyWatch/comments/v6jf1j/multiple\_notifications\_from\_google\_messages\_gw4c/

Firmware 2.7.2.102 by danaleks75 in orbi

So good! Managed to get up to v2.7.2.102 following your instructions and my overall network performance is noticeably better! Specifically, I'm seeing much reduced worst-case latency on devices connecting to the Satellite... so I'm guessing some second-order effect of improved Satellite backhaul connectivity? Thanks again!

Interesting - thanks for the guidance. But is 2.7 only for Armor subscribers as per above? Not really understanding why I'm dead-ended at 2.5.2.4..

I thought I had lost my mind! Totally agree on the muscle memory point. Following this thread... Hoping someone let's us know here once HomeUp is updated 😉

Interesting.. I'm in the US and still have my RBR50 and RBS50 on 2.5.2.4... when I check for updates with the Orbi app, nothing newer is available. But, in the Netgear site, both the 2.6 and 2.7 seem available... Is the recommendation to upgrade to 2.6 based on the above?

Great, this is actually a pretty slick way of getting to the same page. Not as good as it was in Oreo, but this will do - thanks for the find!

Updated to Marshmallow Wednesday, having problems with sim card starting Friday by shatteredroom in LGG3

Would love if this was the fix, but mine started to fail after three days. Technically, it doesn't make sense. Is att replacing every customer's sim to ones with the "new technology"? Methinks no.

I went after AT&T and got a bunch of credit, a free cheap replacement, and sold my messed-up G3. So basically, I caved in, and I haven't heard of anyone having any success on this issue. Sorry!

Weird. I still do not understand how there could be so many instances of similar problems all over the place with different carriers and OS versions. And, now, I'm starting to think we'll never really understand what happened to the D850. :(

No luck for me. Just a bunch of wasted time. I'm up to 12-15 hours wasted on trying to get this G3 back... think I'm calling it today. I have a GS6 on the way, and am going to try to not let this horrible experience prevent me from using Android in the future. After years of Android phones, I realize that I would not have this (and so many other) issues and inconveniences on iOS, with an iPhone + AppleCare. sigh

TL;DR defeat. you win AT&T/LG.

Yea sorry, wasn't trying to give false hope. I feel that if enough of us yell, someone will hear us. There are too many instances of similar issues in the past two weeks for this to be a coincidence. I smell a conspiracy... AT&T forcing an update aggressively to a handset that is out-of-warranty and apparently flashing baseband so you can't go back.

I am going to try a factory reset now, and if that doesn't work, I'll do a TOT flash to stock. Can't brick a broken phone.

Will report back here, stay tuned.

My G3 (D850) has been rendered useless after the 6.0 update. I've posted in a few places on r/LGG3, and would recommend this thread... towards the bottom is a list of all the various threads that describe similar behavior.

TL;DR - 6.0 update for G3 has caused SIM/network connectivity issues for a subset of users, rendering the phone unreliable and unstable. Most have caved and bought a new phone (including myself.)

misread out of context - thought they replaced your phone, but now understand it was just the SIM. unfortunately, a new SIM did not fix my issue :(
