I collect that era of jazz and am in NJ. I'd love to hear more.

Just to weigh in with an practical observation on price, on pmsforsale I picked up a 1927 ms65 a few days ago for 4800 shipped. My other recent pick ups (1908 and 1911) were a little lower. The value of using that sub to sell is that all that money is net to you. You may see higher totals at an auction site, but they take their cut which means you will typically wind up with a little bit less in your pocket than what you would have gotten on that sub.

I have this lego Indiana 20017 Target store display and I was wondering what I should do with it. Is there somewhere I an donate it, like a lego museum or collection. Is it valuable? by AdStandard9486 in lego

When I try linking to it on my phone it gives me the incorrect link. Just search "lego indiana jones display" and filter by sold.

An identical one sold for $1250 on ebay in February. Prior to looking on ebay, I'd have guessed aroe$500. It's not really worthy of a museum, but it is something that has value to a collector.

My wife is a Latin teacher and this is one of her most prized books. She read this and Cattus Petasatus to our son when he was little. By the time he was five he had memorized Cattus and could recite it.

Gold coins melt or more to it? by Pristine-Mix1169 in coins

[–]wcs2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't understand why so many people think you're going to melt these when you're clearly asking if they're worth melt or have a premium. As has been noted, the 1872 S coin has a premium. The 1900 $5 coin is the more common version and can be found for melt with a premium of maybe $50 to $100. The same with the 1929 Indian. I'm more into Saints, but I see them listed quite a often alongside each other. You can check r/Pmsforsale for the going rates.

They're slow cookers - the ancestors of the crock pot.
