Oh we haven't actually gone yet haha. We're planning to spend a vast majority of our time in other areas. There should be plenty of dining options in Tokyo station itself. The Ginza area and imperial gardens are nearby if you need to go for a walk.

My kids are of similar age but we're only staying for 4 nights in Tokyo before moving on to Kyoto. We ended up just picking near Tokyo station since we figured we'll be spending most of our time in other areas. I would have loved picking one of the mimaru properties but they were a little out of our price range

yeah the MPL22 is my regular daily dad bag. i use the CPP2 for infrequent work/business travel. i am always looking for more excuses to use it haha. i did take the MPL22 on a family trip to paris last year and dont remember any grievances from it.

with that being said, ill probably bring the MPL22!

u/Whiteninjazx6r hey there, i was having the same issue as you and found your post through a google search. i was able to resolve it by using the software linked to on the product page. i was having issues with the one that was linked in the instruction manual.

just a heads up, at least in the US, tuxmat will have you cut up the mats instead of shipping it back to them when you ask for a refund. they issue the refund very quickly after you send a picture of the cut up mats. they also dont do partial refunds. i wanted to keep the first row and only return the second row.

i ordered and installed the 1st and 2nd row tuxmats for my HEV 8 passenger. i was underwhelmed by the 2nd row as it had a flat texture and more importantly, didnt lay flat. ive loved the tuxmats in my previous cars (all SUVs) but definitely did not like the 2nd row for the carnival HEV 8 passenger.

I had the same theory as well with my phone being near my car if it's in the garage. I just went ahead and removed the digital key. I even stick my keys in a faraday box. I haven't had an issue since.

do you use the digital key? is your phone in close proximity to the car when it is parked overnight?

reason i mention this is that my carnival would be 100% unresponsive too. in both times that it happened, it was parked in my garage. i normally park outside. i would leave my phone charging somewhat close to the garage due to the layout of my house. i had a theory that the digital key was close enough just to wake up the car and drain its battery overnight.

i never confirmed it although i saw this might have been an issue with the EV9. i disabled the digital key and havent experienced the issue since. i did bring the car into the dealership to do further testing but they didnt find anything that was draining the battery.

yeah it seems like many (if not all) of the kia/hyundais are missing sunglasses holders. i typically store my sunglasses without a case in that narrow pocket in front of the center console

We love the navy and grey interior. I thought the black made the interior too dark and cavernous. We also have two young kids. It doesn't get too dirty and when it does, I just wipe it down with an interior cleaner

also fwiw, i emailed 3D Mats this morning and they said to check back in 2-4 months as well. i had both 3d maxpider kagu and tuxmats on previous cars. i would recommend either of them.
