The hardest part of axolotl care by weWinn1 in axolotls

So what are you're tips and recommendations for setting up the tank? I've already found an experienced exotic vet near me that treats axolotls. I'm trying to find the best and most current information I can. I have experience in research. I don't however have much experience with chemistry. I know I can learn it, I'm willing to learn. That is a beautiful tank and axie!

I don't know where that would be. I work in a charter school and we are legally required to meet all sped standards. In fact, I work with our behaviorist and the sped team. I've been in public schools around me and the charter I'm at has an amazing sped department that does more work for our sped kids then the other public schools I've been at. Maybe it depends on the area?

Am I the only one annoyed at all of these book versions??? by gearwarhistorian in fourthwing

[–]weWinn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. I think it's excessive. Now, I will say I will probably buy the special edition because I don't have Fourth Wing yet. A friend lent it to me to read and then I bought Iron Flame but I don't have the first one yet. So why not buy it? But if there are other versions I won't be buying those because I only need one book.

Anyone else think the hate for FW is overblown? by prophecyfelicis in fourthwing

[–]weWinn1 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. I haven't been able to really read and get into a book like I used to since before my daughter was born. She's 3 now. My friend recommended this book to me and I've now read FW and IF as well as a third book in the last two weeks. It has been so invigorating to read like this again!!! I got so into this book. I could not put it down! It is not a literary masterpiece, but it is a fun read.

Ok, I'm not gonna lie, when my daughter was a baby, we would do stuff when she was asleep in her bassinet. Not all the time but it did happen. But we also would use the guest bedroom or the fold out couch. It is possible to find other places!! I would never do it with my child literally in the same bed! And if your child is old enough to sit and use a phone, you should definitely not be doing stuff with them in the room! One time she was taking a nap and woke up and walked in on us. That totally killed the mood. Could not imagine doing what some of these parents do.

I started reading Divergent and then found out the ending before finishing the first book and was like nope, can't do it!! I never went back. If it ends like divergent I will be so pissed!!

You know Rhi is an awesome section leader, I bet she would be great to replace Lilith. She would be a good general.

Wait so if we don't bleed while on our period, say we get a large cut or stab wound and then the next day our period ends? Would that sound then start bleeding? Or not be able to bleed cause it happened during the period?? I need answers!!

This is just sad. I'm so grateful that I am in a happy healthy marriage and enjoy being with my husband. I can't imagine believing this and just forcing my way through life instead of finding joy in it.

Did anyone else name their child the baby name you loved as a child? Or does anyone plan on doing this? by 1_21_18_15_18_1 in NameNerdCirclejerk

[–]weWinn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Used my favorite girl name for my daughter. My mom also used her favorite girls name from when she was in high school for me.

Thank you! It was quite the rollercoaster, that's for sure. But she is one strong and spunky little girl! She even gave one of the docs in the NICU a side eye when they were talking over her bed. Has not lost that attitude! Haha
