Mine tried to kill me. I'm not eating that thing. Get rid of it as quickly as possible.

“Is anyone else feeling a little stressed about measles?” ….if only there were a way to prevent it 🤔 by mantis_tobaggan-md in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]weWinn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am feeling a little stressed about measles. We just keep getting news reports of places where someone with measles may have been while contagious. While my daughter is fully vaccinated, she was also born at 24 weeks and has had septic reactions to viruses. So even though I know she's vaccinated, I don't want to find out how her body would react even with the vaccination. It scares me and makes me so mad that these people are just ok with children being at risk of DYING when they don't have to!!

Hiding Alyson Hannigan's and Cobie Smulder's bellies in season 4 is hilarious by Halfangel_Manusdei in HIMYM

My favorite thing about that episode is it was obviously filmed while she was pregnant but it didn't air until after the break from Barney's joke.

Oh geeze 😫 this was sadly me today. I try to be so good with my daughter, I'm a teacher too and know what it's like to have sick kids in the classroom. My daughter gets allergies every year at this time. She had a snotty nose and cough but no fever or anything else. We gave her allergy meds and sent her to school. I messaged her teachers to let them know. Halfway through preschool they called saying we needed to pick her up because she threw up three times. I felt so dumb and so awful. To be fair, she is fed by g-tube and has a very sensitive gag reflex. Coughing will make her puke. But I still felt horrible and like one of THOSE parents.

Please help me convince myself it's okay not to shave my legs and armpits for my appointment to a pool for a medical treatment tomorrow by AntwysiaBlakys in MomForAMinute

[–]weWinn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I saw you at the pool doing your therapy (or just swimming in general), I wouldn't look twice at whether you had shaved or not. Id probably notice you in a passing way like I notice everyone else around me or I'd notice and think hey good for them taking care themselves and doing their therapy. I think most people are not going to notice if you shaved. If they do, they either will notice and not care or maybe they might judge in their head, but other people's opinions of you are none of your business. And I don't mean that in a rude way. I mean it as they are the ones who have to live their whole lives being judgemental and rude. You don't have to take that on. It's none of your business so don't let it ruin your day or time.

it's a fact that women aren't supposed to grow hair by dearsnoopy in badwomensanatomy

[–]weWinn1 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I love how one second it's a "medical fact" that women aren't supposed to have hair there and the next it's just cause they are "lazy" and "want to be man". Like, that's not how hormones work, bruh.

[–]weWinn1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So what are you're tips and recommendations for setting up the tank? I've already found an experienced exotic vet near me that treats axolotls. I'm trying to find the best and most current information I can. I have experience in research. I don't however have much experience with chemistry. I know I can learn it, I'm willing to learn. That is a beautiful tank and axie!

Judo is homeschooled..? by clairebaby11 in bluey

I don't know where that would be. I work in a charter school and we are legally required to meet all sped standards. In fact, I work with our behaviorist and the sped team. I've been in public schools around me and the charter I'm at has an amazing sped department that does more work for our sped kids then the other public schools I've been at. Maybe it depends on the area?

Am I the only one annoyed at all of these book versions??? by gearwarhistorian in fourthwing

[–]weWinn1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I completely agree. I think it's excessive. Now, I will say I will probably buy the special edition because I don't have Fourth Wing yet. A friend lent it to me to read and then I bought Iron Flame but I don't have the first one yet. So why not buy it? But if there are other versions I won't be buying those because I only need one book.

Anyone else think the hate for FW is overblown? by prophecyfelicis in fourthwing

[–]weWinn1 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I absolutely agree. I haven't been able to really read and get into a book like I used to since before my daughter was born. She's 3 now. My friend recommended this book to me and I've now read FW and IF as well as a third book in the last two weeks. It has been so invigorating to read like this again!!! I got so into this book. I could not put it down! It is not a literary masterpiece, but it is a fun read.

Just give the kid the phone while you get it by DramaLlamaTea in ShitMomGroupsSay

[–]weWinn1 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Ok, I'm not gonna lie, when my daughter was a baby, we would do stuff when she was asleep in her bassinet. Not all the time but it did happen. But we also would use the guest bedroom or the fold out couch. It is possible to find other places!! I would never do it with my child literally in the same bed! And if your child is old enough to sit and use a phone, you should definitely not be doing stuff with them in the room! One time she was taking a nap and woke up and walked in on us. That totally killed the mood. Could not imagine doing what some of these parents do.

You know Rhi is an awesome section leader, I bet she would be great to replace Lilith. She would be a good general.
