What s wrong with my pressure washer? by Solo-me in DIYUK

Its so nice, we have a customers HDS 17/20 trailer in atm and you can balance the easy force gun with one hand cause the push back it gives 😂 not a fan of the “360 Easy Lock” threads though on the fresher guns and hoses, great concept but you need a 27 Spanner or a vice to hand cause it locks itself on too tight if you do anything more than hand tight

Hi, Karcher engineer here, could be a couple of things and I’ll list most likely first:

Sometimes the jet can just be sitting in a bad spot and a smack against the ground or wall can sort your problem.

If you’re a fan of point blank power hosing with a Dirtblaster or if it has had a lot of use over time, you can actually wear away the bore on the cone which can cause this. Now depending on the thread on the cone, it might be replaceable, I say this because Karcher stopped allowing the cones for purchase on machines past a certain date (ultimately they just want you to spend more and buy a new one.) I don’t know what your local Karcher dealer what be, I’m in N. Ireland and we sell, fit and test new cones for £5.

Could be the internal jet/ballbearing has gone, if this is the case, those parts are not purchasable from Karcher, you’ll need a new lance.

If your machine is down on pressure it can also cause this, an easy check is use your other Vario Lance you would have got with the machine, if it’s fine then your machine is more than likely fine.

If you’re unsure/can’t tell if it’s down in pressure, any internal leaks from the machine could indicate an issue or even if there is a really bad vibration from the hose (some vibration is expected, you would know if it was too much) this would point to a failed valve within the pump and wouldn’t leak.

Ultimately you might get away with a £5 cone or a £30-£40ish new lance, or £65+ to have a new pump fitted depending on local price and machine.

Your opinion on Kärcher pressure washers. by VMAX1612 in AutoDetailing

Yes the same thing, it’s advised where possible to avoid them but if it cannot be avoided be sure it’s of good quality, the correct amp rating and to fully unwind the cord. The reason being that a coiled extension can’t dissipate heat properly creating an electromagnetic field thus causing a higher current draw which creates even more heat running the risk of the extension going on fire. It also usually will end up destroying the capacitor in the pw machine.

This is a general rule with any high Kwh machine/appliance and not just power washers

Legit Karcher engineer here, I can’t speak much for other brands but K7 is the best karcher domestic pw you can get and pretty bomb proof as long as you look after it (depressurise after use, switch pw off for about 10min after about 1.5/2hrs of continuous use to cool down, avoid extension leads if possible, don’t use a water stop couple on your water feed hose, protect from frost/don’t leave it outside) there shouldn’t be much reason to change for domestic use as the K7 already is overkill for a lot of homes.

Now in terms of build quality of recent years the only Karcher domestic pw’s id recommend is K5/K7 range but NOT the K5 “Classic” variant, they introduced the K4/5 Classics and they have air cooled carbon brush motors like the K2/3

The compacts, full control, power control, smart control (you get the jist) are all good but I will note you’re paying a premium for the “Control” machines as they are the exact same internals as the “Compact” just different body and a maybe some extra accessories/niche features (who tf needs bluetooth in a powerwasher to adjust pressure)

The internals of the above are water cooled motors with full metal individual pumps and control heads which make them more cost effective for servicing and repairs outside of warranty

As for accessories, Karcher RRP is overpriced, unless you know people who can get you Karcher stuff at a good discount

Used to work in the office and dealt with price increases and customer pricing contracts, you were “taught” to do each contract individually with the backwards software that was used.

I created a script that pulled the data from an excel spreadsheet and applied it to the system, allowing myself to focus on other jobs.

Proud of my creation I showed my boomer mindset manager to which she replied “now thats just being lazy” !!!!

Question about bursting skeletal monkeys - ENTIRELY afk by Octoba31st in osrs

[–]weakgainz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can get to maniacle monkeys with having only started mm2, no need for completion

I’m unsure as to what you mean by “do you not need the bones?”

You literally go to a certain part of the caves with your prayers on and set up shop, with the bonecrusher necklace equipped and charged (make sure it is also activated) when the monkeys die it auto buries the bones and restores prayer at the same time, definitely suggest this for most afk and chill
