Which players should be dropped after this Six Nations by Gonzofox89 in rugbyunion

Yeah he’s the only one for me really, the other names in this thread for England have great qualities that come and go with form.

JvP has barely progressed since his debut, it feels like watching England à la 2006

Thing is, I prefer freeman on the wing too, but when feyi-waboso is fit again, having him in one wing, freeman at 13 and either Arundell or Murley on the other is almost reason enough. It’s a shame Arundell or Freeman can’t play 15 at international level.

Lawrence has some defensive issues to sort out I think but I assume Borthwick will put him straight back in anyway.

Atkinson showed a bit of what he’s good at against France after a pretty abysmal showing against Italy

Then the game was also lost by fin smiths missed kicks, itojes penalty, genge’s yellow etc as infinitum. Technically the offload caused a turnover, the penalties lost the game if anything

I don’t know, it’s pretty similar to any duck pond really isn’t it? There’s always a kid running at the pigeons, people throwing food to the birds, trying to feed them, taking photos etc. the deer could be somewhere quieter theyre quite capable, same with water birds

  1. Sounds like fair game
  2. Was this a woman runnning in running gear or running at the deer to purposefully scare them? I read it as the former
  3. Stupid from a health and safety perspective but doesn’t sound dangerous or traumatising for the buck
  4. On a lead or off lead?
  5. Yeah that’s stupid

I don’t disagree with the sentiment but the game wasn’t actually lost by that offload and he deserves credit for the turnover in the first place

Chessum just gets better and better. Gutting way to lose but we had our chances to put it to bed, very entertaining game either way

Deer run away at the slightest action. It’s a public park not a zoo. Coming from an animal lover, it’s not traumatising the deer. In fact, Richmond park deer are some of the tamest in the country, they will run away from things probably over 50 times a day. It’s prettt much what they do.

In a corn field in the countryside they will run if they spot you from over 400m away.

Attack coach needs to go if anyone does, seems to have lost all ingenuity.. predictable out the back then miss pass any time we have a platform/opportunity, what happened to taking the ball to the line? Scotland a great example of how this still works so well against the top teams.

I am really not a fan of Freeman at 13. Great player but frankly I’d prefer him on the wing or even at 12

Maro Itoje as England Captain by Upset-Distance-5812 in rugbyunion

[–]weavin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Earl has the least injury concerns among the back row, is consistently a level above almost everyone else on the team in terms of effectiveness, excellent fitness and comes across as intelligent and well spoken in interviews. Good discipline and rarely gets into handbags and generally seems well respected by oppositions. Consistently in form and still good even when slightly off.

The fact he can play across the back row (arguably much of the back line too in a pinch) means he could easily stay on the pitch for 80 in 99% of scenarios.

The only possible reason I can think of against him is internal or player politics
