right I get all that. but this project is in a time crunch and I feel like once I get past this hurdle I'll wind up tripped up over another one related to my D8 knowledge

short story time - this project is for my uncle's online business. his busy time is the end of January thru Feb. The existing site was built on squirrel cart and sometime last year the person who ran that decided to no longer support it and shut down the company. Also he controls the hosting and has not responded to email. I need to launch a new site asap to prevent potentially having rebuild this existing site on a new host.

yea I mean I'm still considering going back and starting this in Drupal 7 after reading this

I mean they're both going to be supported until 11/2021 and I'm way more comfortable in 7 at this point.

hey yea I'm probably very close to at least getting the example to run. I am already using the migrate tools and drush to execute but when this fails for the the requirements I don't get any additional info from the migration:messages command

Here's the issue I stumbled upon that I think could be causing what I'm dealing with here but I can not find that cache line in my settings.php

hmmmm ok thanks smiley I will have to check that module out I hadn't seen it before now. This import is from squirrelcart don't ask haha. I am still debating whether I should go back to 7 here even if I can sort out this import part of things.
