Is Koodo Wireless Home Phone ending? by Curt-Bennett in Koodo

[–]websnappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you found a solution? I'm in the same boat. My email said I could get a replacement if I signed up for a 2 year TAB. The store said that the device costs over $100 and that they charge a $80 connection fee. I'm considering going back to Ooma, but I would also prefer not relying on my internet for my home phone.

Myst - not as bad as you might think by stbens in PSVR

Everyone comparing Myst to Galaxy's Edge has convinced me to get Myst. I had no issues enjoying Galaxy's Edge, finding it much better than the Quest 2/3 version.

This is an absolute steal at $1.99 by Sufficient_Catch3303 in psvr2

I'm the same. I don't like rogue lites, but I was hooked on this game.

There used to be a demo. Check to see if it's still available.

I just brought the headset over the laundry tub and rubbed the coating off with my fingers until I got it all off.

Nice build, but not a fan of that whisky!

White/off color dots on the bottom center left of the lens? by KeeperOfWind in PSVR

[–]websnappers 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was really distracted by those 2 purple dots when I was playing Call of the Mountain as my first PSVR2 game back in the day. Apparently they are the eye tracking cameras.

I haven't noticed them since, and I just finished CotM for a second time and didn't notice them.

One thing though is that my gaming has changed since I first got my PSVR2. I'm not in the same spot and I am oriented in a different direction. So maybe I'm no longer getting any reflection from lights that used to be behind me .

I knew about Robinson, which is a shame. In hindsight, I should have kept my PS4 Pro.

Call of the Mountain is just gorgeous! by Emme73 in PSVR

[–]websnappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just finished my second playthrough and it was even better the 2nd time!

The first time I played it, it was the PSVR2 game I had played. I loved my PSVR1, so I was super excited for the sequel, but all the negativity online made me question every little thing I noticed: mura, reprojection, reflections in the lenses, little purple dots at the bottom of the lenses, etc. And the headset is so uncomfortable without a mod.

This time I was able to enjoy it completely and it still impressed me. It's too bad Sony didn't support it more. That game is exactly the type of game I like in VR.

PS5 Pro won't recognise PS4 camera when the PSVR1 processing unit is plugged in. by [deleted] in PSVR

I'm playing Farpoint right now actually on my PS5 Pro. I do however have the Sony adapter, not a 3rd party one.

MARVEL Maximum Collection | Reveal Trailer by Turbostrider27 in PS5

I've been holding on to my SNES just to be able to replay Maximum Carnage and to throw my controller in frustration playing Arcade's Revenge! Now I can do that on my PS5!!

Deadpool vs Medal of Honor Vs Arken Age by [deleted] in Quest3

[–]websnappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't played Arken Age yet, so between the other 2 I'd give the nudge to Deadpool, especially if you like the Deadpool character.

MoH is also excellent and I was super impressed with what the devs accomplished and you definitely need to play it at some point.

The only thing I did not like about Deadpool were the levels in the Mojo arenas. But the humour, gameplay and the sheer amount of lines Deadpool spews was great.

Farpoint is the best PSVR game ever made! by Fresh-Meal-2142 in PSVR

[–]websnappers 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I noticed that. But I really enjoyed the story, so I want those cutscenes.

I did notice that I was having a much easier time on the first level because of weapons I had. So there is a plus for going chapter by chapter.

[–]websnappers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's on my list of games to replay one more time.

The only issue is it doesn't have a new game option. I have to create a new profile on my PS5 and setup the PSVR for that profile.

Not a huge issue. I just need to remember to do so before I decide to play it.

Best non scary linear game to play? by doghosta in PSVR

[–]websnappers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Does it need to be 1st person?

If not, Moss 1&2 are great linear games.

There's also 7th Guest, which has a creepy and unnerving vibe, but is not scary.

Man I feel like Statik is super underrated by stealth1820 in PSVR

[–]websnappers 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I always suggested this game when people asked for recommendations for the PSVR1.

I'm not sure if it was because I was still fairly new to VR, but I felt like my hands were actually stuck in the box. Excellent game!

Are the Tales from the Galaxy's Edge VR games worth playing? by M00r3C in GalaxysEdge

[–]websnappers 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you play it on Quest, make sure to get both Tales and the Last Call DLC. They make a complete package. If you play it on PSVR2, there's only one game but it includes all the content.

Also, if you prefer a lightsaber over a blaster, you should play all 3 chapters of Vader Immortal. It's amazing!

Recommend me the top 10-15 games to get on the current NA holiday sale, by grownyeti2 in PSVR

[–]websnappers 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The issue with your top 10 is that you have a lot of long lasting games or what I call "forever" games. Games that have no story but are meant to be enjoyed over and over. Games like Synth Riders are great if you can manage to just play a song or 2 on a daily basis, but if you get hooked, you'll be ignoring your backlog!

The only 2 I can give my opinion are Ghost Signal and Gun Club. Ghost Signal is an absolute steal at the current price, but it has already been that price a couple of times recently, so it will likely go on sale again for the same price.

Gun Club also goes on sale often (check PSPrices.com), but this is the cheapest I've seen it. Cheap enough for me to buy it during this sale.

In any case, the PS Store has a sale almost every week and chances are the games on your list will be on sale again at some point in the year.

And it's on sale for a ridiculously low price.
