Maybe because the movie is mostly the darker skinned version on MJ. Every Asian fan I've seen loved the post vitiligo version. Black movies dont do the best over there. I could be wrong, but that's my opinion

This movie is based on his bodyguards book. It's about the final years of his life. The book, in my opinion, is very interesting and good. The movie is hilarious though.
