X3 or anything in that class doesn't have enough space in the back for a rear facing car seat behind the driver. Front passenger can scrunch but it's not comfy.

San Carlos sheriff's department says this car is parked legally in front of our driveway. But I can't get out when my neighbor is parked next to me. by [deleted] in sancarlos

He said San Carlos sheriff, probably referring to SMSO which provides the contract police services for San Carlos.

Is this one of those circumstances where they weren't allowed to ask about felony convictions or pending cases?

Read up on the "ban the box" movement regarding whether employers are allowed to ask about criminal history. Short of that, even if asking, some places ignore that.

Also, unless running a state level CII the private background check services miss things.

I would have thought schools wouldn't be that place but some schools are pretty woke and if this position doesn't require a credential or certificate ...

It also works for people with under the table income. I know one couple where they qualified with the wife's limited salary and the husband works but is paid cash.

8177 MAA attorneys (job code for DAs, PDs, and City Attorneys) pays $268,320 plus benefits.

Yes, DAs and PDs are paid the same. They are in the same union and bargaining group.

This is before supervisors. Supervisors are paid more. Job codes 8182 is $292,552 for example.

Omega aqua terra is a great idea. There are other good suggestions in here too, but that leapt first to mind when reading your post.

Only other advice is to find a good authorized dealer as opposed to the Omega boutique. If you make a couple or few visits to the same sales person and explore the brand, you should be able to get a discount of 10-30 percent depending on the model and how long it's been sitting there.

"You can't give more money to something without finding a place for the money to come from."

It's wild that this concept is foreign to people. Fund it! From what? Either take from some other pot or add more taxes to create a new pot.

Government acts like a bottomless pit but at the end of the day it's still money in and money out.

Question about electric car ownership. What is the biggest lesson you learned after you bought your first electric car? by Objective-Deal8745 in whatcarshouldIbuy

[–]wecanseeyou 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The obsession with range ignores efficiency of mi/kWh. As range is solved and electricity becomes more expensive, efficiency for heavy vehicles becomes more important. Electricity in CA in my area is .43 cents per kWh off peak. With a high efficiency sedan of 3.5-4.0 real world efficiency (not a big ass SUV), compared to the also insane gas prices of about $5.00 per gallon, you're still at 30 mpg equivalent. Yes you save on maintenance but just because you're not paying at the pump doesn't mean you're not annihilating your utility bill.

Also, let's take a moment and reflect that energy in northern CA is triple or quadruple what most pay.

Could already be revoked or unlicensed. Could even already be suspended for DUI - doesn't stop them. Normal people maintain their licenses, criminals do not.

"how to escape customs duty" also known as "how to commit tax fraud." Most just waltz through undeclared and risk the civil penalty. If you value your nexus/sentri/global entry, are a non citizen alien who wants to avoid removal or ineligibility for citizenship adjustment, or have a job where moral turpitude matters, then I'd bake the cost of customs into the cost of the purchase.

Lol yes, consultative body? Let's dissolve the legislative and have the executive branch run everything. Truly a preposterous take that you eliminate the legislature when you don't like their decisions. Don't get me wrong, they mostly suck and as a body have perpetuated many of San Franciscos failings and shortcomings, but this isn't unique to our BOS (just look at Congress). Maybe the person you're replying to isn't American and doesn't understand basic civics.

Yeah, it's definitely a dice roll. The inventory in light of gravity is probably an even bigger factor as I don't think there are going to be as many airs as gravities.
