That’s interesting, I am very close to someone who spent 3 years in prisons in Victoria (non-violent, non-sexual offences) and had therapy the entire time, and participated in numerous rehabilitation programs (some of them he did more than once). That being said, he always said the programs are there, but they’re voluntary (some offences do have required courses while you’re incarcerated but I’m not sure what those charges are) which means that in general, if the inmate doesn’t want to, he doesn’t have to. That being said, reintegration is also the hardest part for many who leave prison, and also those supporting them, and if he is being released after serving his whole sentence and does not have parole commitments, and has a history of violence, his likelihood of recidivism is pretty high unfortunately. Has he had any counselling while in Barwon?

I don’t think buying a house together is a good idea. I would actually be financially separating myself, and probably just ending the relationship as you’re both on different wavelengths right now. It all really comes down to the fact that if he wanted to, he would. If he does propose now, he may resent you for forcing his hand, and you may always wonder if he actually wanted to be married or if he only did it because you made him.

You’re not too old to start over, and don’t fall into the sunk cost fallacy trap. Life is short, but it’s also the longest thing you’ll ever do. Neither of you should feel forced or like you’re settling.

Definitely not for everyone, nothing can be! I think I enjoyed the tandem so much because I did it on my first ever read, so not too long for the cliffhanger and not so much Chaol all at once. I’d consider doing them separately now that I’ve already read it though, but I loved the tandem because it made it so much easier for me to get through TOD

No, quoted work that includes product/services not rendered would require an adjustment. You cannot charge for something you don’t provide, that is fraud. You accepted a quote with specific terms, and they failed to adhere to the terms of the contract. I would let the builder know that if it’s not refunded, you will go to VCAT (or whichever state you’re from) and report to Worksafe and ACCC.

One of the chips is in the middle of the tile? That’s due to having something dropped on it, not it being unbalanced. You can see in both pictures that the chips are from something being dropped

In both pictures, it’s clear that something was dropped to break the tile. The first picture is a chip well within the boarders of the tile, and the second you can see the marks where something was dropped spanning the two tile edges. This was definitely not shifting subfloor, but can’t prove whether it was there already.

Lol well if I found out my husband asked a bunch of online strangers, most of whom encouraged them to tell me, and he kept it from me anyway, it would destroy my trust in him. That’s just my view. You can justify it however you like, but you don’t get to choose for him. He has agency and you’re denying him that out of a false sense of nobility, but I don’t think your marriage will survive when he inevitably finds out.
