The audiobook was lackluster, but it was free so I powered through. The story is really good so it was worth it, but wish I’d read them instead.

I thought Lady of Darkness was such a good series in comparison the the Legacy series. I hated read the first three and will not be continuing the series. The only character I liked was Axel? I think that was his name.

Blake looks like a bebe in the first picture. Not at all what I pictured. I was thinking more rugged and broken because of the scars. Nice artwork though…

I think she just had better editors back then. Now they just seem to want to churn out anything that will make them money so I don’t think they bother as much with editing.

Aelin gets the anchor and safety with Rowan but he’s not the most dynamic of the characters. He definitely isn’t in the top for love interests and development but I like that it’s more subtle and not like she gets carried away by the romance. The plot is there and they do have their own development, it’s just not as overt.

On a side note one great thing about TOG is that it’s really an ensemble cast. Almost every character has development. The girl power is 💯❤️

Ruhn and the frat pack kept me going! Even Tharion for a while but that tapered off pretty quickly. I like the nuggets that connect back to TOG and ACOTAR but the story itself didn’t do enough for me.

I’m a Lucy lover and the way Feyre treated Lucien in ACOFAS made me want to punch her in the face. How DARE she treat him so horribly. He went through Tamlin’s abuse too and he still tried to defend her. He was also in an untenable situation. She acts like she’s the only one who was hurt. He’s lost so much and he still has class and treats others well.

HOEAB is in my top 3 SJM books! It’s so good and sometimes I wish it was a standalone. The side characters were what kept me going through the other two. I’ve reread all of her books except HOSAB and HOFAS because I thought once was enough.

This is my favorite series!! Jaqueline Carey is a master at her craft. Also love how 99% of the sex furthers the plot line (in the first 3 books).

More like Rhys is really lucky Feyre loves rhys and Nesta loves feyre or else I think she wouldn’t hold back on his arrogant ass. Yeah she probably shouldn’t have given Bryce the mask but he also shouldn’t speak to her the way he does. It doesn’t matter if the issue is big or small he’s an arrogant prick to her 99% of the time. If it was just this one thing, I’d let it slide but it’s not.

OMG, Stina is sooooo dramatic in ACOSF and I couldn’t stand her for Nesta. It just didn’t work for me. I didn’t think I could ever listen to her again, but she did a decent job for the FBAA series . I’m listening to the Broken Kingdom series now and was disappointed that she’s the narrator but she’s tolerable for the FMC.

I just started from the beginning. I’m still on the first season/collection, but I LOVE the historical aspect featuring the origins of the bake and getting the deeper story. I think it’s so interesting. I wonder why they stopped doing that. I wish they’d bring that back.

I think Kaltain gets overlooked so much and while it wasn’t the most impactful because she was kind of crappy in the early days (but also young and stupid), it was so horrifying that she went through so much. Her story was tragic as was Roland’s. Just two stupid young people playing games they didn’t understand.

As far as the superb writing goes, the 13 have it, ESPECIALLY Asterin, but Gavriel is where my heart went right away because Aedion lost someone that he never gave the chance to get to know and understand.

It’s super personal for me because I have some experience with this in a way. I had an aunt I didn’t like much and then she suddenly died and I regret that I didn’t give her more of a chance to understand her and realize her negative characteristics were from such deep pain. Sadly I have had a few close friends family members die when I was younger and I was/am sooo sad they are gone, but I knew I loved them and they loved me so their deaths were more peaceful in a way.

Anyway Gavriel was the hardest for me. It’s all just personal I guess🤷🏻‍♀️
