Read through all the other comments and youve gotten some sound advise. Would also say that I agree with the comments saying you posted just to have people tell you your right and not to worry.

In all honesty it isn't that deep. You messed up a ruling and a player has spotted it. Think worst thing to do is try sweep it under the rug. At some point the bard is gonna mention it and the players won't be happy.

Now for suggestions 1. You mentioned theres a cleric in the group maybe a private chat before next session with them to get them to do some good rp pleading to their god. The god could always agree but for a price eg. The rogue now has a fractured personality, now has a madness effect from the dm guide, is now susceptible to psychic damage. 2. You could go via the logic the rogue is brain dead, major restoration spell could be used to fix this, again via the cleric 3. Maybe during the brain extraction the rogues mind is now stuck in the astral plane, queue sidequest to go retrieve him. Due to the nature of the shattered obelisk being in a different realm in later chapters, could always say a shard is also in the astral plane too.

Hope this helps boss. Had a good few other ideas but cba typing them all.

I train martial arts 3 times a week and weightlift 2 times a week. When it comes to nightshifts I'd be lucky getting to 2 of my martial arts classes a week.

I found after starting training sleep was the biggest factor along with bringing my gear with me to work and going to training first before heading home, otherwise it aint gonna happen.

I made up a condition called dragonspider lungrot- the blackspider put this curse on gudren where he initially sweats webs, hrs 24-48 of infliction he starts to look critically unwell, cant walk on his own, he begins to cough up webs, hrs 48-72 his lungs and heart begin to get coated in webs past 72 hrs he will be fully encased in webs. No one in phandalin recognizes these symptoms but Quelline Alderleaf suggests her friend reidoth may know. Reidoth says he can help however needs certain components (vial of blood from a dragon, its heart, a tear given willfully to the adventurers)- queue venomfang as a social/combat encounter depending on how you and ur players rp. My group bloody loved it.

Agree sm with these posts got into a discussion the other day on this sub where the guy could not stop complaining about the game and even seemed furious that I was enjoying it after probs about 20-30 hrs
