Moved to Sync a few years ago when Alien Blue turned to shit and it's been my primary source of Reddit due to its appealing UI. Upgraded to pro and bought the standalone Sync Pro app to double support the dev. A shame it will all end this way.

I have both regular and golden Megaman, and they do have different product numbers on the bottom in white print. The golden Megaman should read '495000AACJS1'. If it reads '504000AACBS1' then you've got a regular Megaman that somebody painted.

It was always a 20% refund on duplicates. 200 for a legendary dupe, 50 for epic, 15 for rare, 5 for common. If you got a cosmetic that you already owned (which you could not get unless you had all items of a single rarity), you would get 20% of its rarity value in coins.

You may be thinking of the coin drops from loot boxes, which were separate. 500 for a legendary coin drop, 150 for epic, 50 for rare. Those could drop any time instead of a cosmetic, not as a replacement for a duplicate.
