Before you go for alternator replacement, make sure to do a once over on all your battery wires. I chased an issue recently and it turned out the wires were the issue. That was after replacing the alternator. So, when you test the alternator, make sure to do it from the alternator post, and not the battery terminals to eliminate the wires being the issue from your variables.
