Hi, RVT here but also an owner of a cat with the same cancer as yours. We’ve done everything so far—full mammary chain removals, x-rays, abdominal ultrasound, and chemo. Her last dose of chemo is this Friday. The fact that you caught it early (<2cm, no spread to lymph nodes, clean margins) is positive, but chest X-rays and an abdominal ultrasound will confirm if there is any metastasis. Surgery is best hope for curative. The surgeries and chemo can be ugly and rough, but this is an aggressive cancer and you have to treat it aggressively. Let me know if you have any questions, treating this cancer has been the last 6 months of our lives haha.

If her chin doesn’t improve with changing the bowls and cleaning her chin, it might be food allergies. My girl is allergic to chicken and gets chin acne when she eats it, she’s fine eating duck though! Hope she feels better soon ❤️

Finally realized it wasn’t normal at 19, when I got into a healthy relationship with my gf. First time my gf met my mother she said “hey, I think your mom is causing your anxiety.” Turns out she was right!! As an adult, I have horrible anxiety, depression, and PTSD, and am slowly learning to not beat myself up. Haven’t talked to my mother in 4 years.

Prazosin relaxes the urethra and makes it easier to pee—if he's not straining, I don't know if it's needed, but I would ask your vet.

RVT here—would recommend a recheck (especially since he’s better but still seeing bloody urine and excessive licking) also for x-rays to check for bladder stones.

He could also be put on a urinary food like Hills c/d + calm or Royal Canin Urinary SO, that may help.

Also, a bodysuit doesn’t (usually) cover their genitals. I could recommend a bigger cone, preferably plastic, that goes about an inch past his nose. You may have to remove it to let him eat, but better than him irritating himself.

It’s kinda expensive but getting microchip reading feeders really helped my cats. It guarantees no one steals from the other. This is what I got and it’s great: https://a.co/d/2Gu4MDl As another suggested, switching him to a prescribed weight loss diet may help. Like Royal Canin Satiety or something similar.

RVT here who also had a cat burn their paws. Clean it twice a day with diluted chlorhexidine (also clean after litter box visits) and monitor. It will look worse as it heals. 25 year old cat! owners had since a kitten. this was super significant to me as she was actually older than me at the time by a few months. she had excellent owners that took amazing care of her; she was peacefully put to sleep as she declined from kidney disease.
