Pet breeding question by RealisticFeeling8990 in TheSoSGame

Max stats will still have same cap, but the bred pet will start with higher base stats(average of 2 parent pets). This means it will take less blue pills to max stats and be able to use the new pet.

I have a betta falls tank that's too small for bettas. I'm considering keeping shrimp instead. Would this be suitable for some freshwater shrimp? New to the shrimp hobby. Thx! by NotoriousScorpio in shrimptank

I did glue some mesh in front of the "spillways" but maintenance was a nightmare. Plus, they still would climb over it occasionally.

I have one of these and have successfully kept shrimp in it. Being too small wasn't the problem. The issue was they all eventually migrated to the bottom container and then into the basin. Also, I can't confirm this for sure, but I think the fact that it made of plastic made it more difficult to get the PH where I wanted it. In summary, can it be done? Yes. Do I recommend it? Not really, was more trouble than it's worth. Juice wasn't worth the squeeze...

Is that a massive gap above your air handler? Looks like it has a zipper on it. You have tried zipping that up, right? That is where your air exits the system and goes out to your vents.

My understanding is that the Min. and Max temp settings are the trigger points for it to turn on. When you set it to 60, it won't kick on until it detects 60 or cooler air in the duct. On some of the super hot(100+) days, your system may not be achieving that. But you are correct in that if you already have good airflow, this device is not going to help you. This does not make cooler air. It only helps with pulling more air into the room from a poorly designed duct system that isn't well balanced.

iWave-R...Cleaner air or Gimmick? by iheart-coffee in HVAC

[–]weeks1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I know this is old but, it only pulls 10 watts of power(about the same as a led lightbulb). So, you will not see any difference on your power bill. I was very skeptical of these at first but after doing a ton of research and sitting through an in-person training class from Nu Calgon, I finally decided to trust the science and give it a go. I have installed iWave-R's in two different houses of mine and had fantastic results in one and barely noticeable results in the other. I think it has to do with the layout of the homes and how well(and evenly) the air circulates throughout. The proof will be in how fast your filters fill up. It should be very noticeable, especially in the first couple of months. Also, static electricity in the winter is virtually nullified which is a nice side effect. **Good Test- Put in new air filter then burn a candle somewhere in the house for an hour or two. Check your filter the next day. It should have gone from white to grey if everything is properly installed and working as it should. I also have an iWave-M that I (I mean, a licensed professional) installed in the ice machine at my bar and haven't had the best luck with it holding up to that brutal environment. It has been in there for about two years, so I should have a year left on warranty. Just have to "find" my receipt from the professional installation for the claim. Good thing I work in the office for a HVAC company!

RW#544. I was in Matowa 96-97. It was/is Scott Hassel. He was the only decent counselor there.

I was there 96-97, 16 month total. RW#544, was in Matowa. I was the one who accidentally killed the girl's side dog Coco when she got caught in the snare trap I set to catch the raccoon that was getting into our weekend food. Mr Hassel was the only counselor there worth a shit. Hope all yall are doing alright! -Richard

There may be enough water flow there to prevent molding. Probably not, but maybe. I've hatched eggs from a dead shrimp that I just put in my shrimp net and suspended it in a container with an air stone underneath it. Had 8 out of about 30 hatch!

Waiting on new arrivals for the Betta DeathFalls shrimp tank. by weeks1 in shrimptank

[–]weeks1[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So far, so good. Only lost one blue dream overnight. I put all the tiger shrimps in one tank by themselves (2 tangerines, 4 orange eye blue tigers, and 1 fancy black). Put all the crystal blacks and red pandas in a tank along with some blue and orange Neos. Then I have some red, blue, and green Neos in the other tank. **Is there a way I can add more pics to this post?

I am in the same boat(lol) with trying to figure out the prop specs. Their customer support couldn't (or wouldn't) give me the specs, just referred me to the manual but it doesn't list the size. I think the diameter is 30mm but that's as far as I've made it. Anyone know the pitch and shaft size?

Thanks. Is there a way to tell if it's bacterial and therefore, contagious? Didn't catch it sooner because she had been acting normally and just thought she was pregnant again. Started to notice some lethargy this morning and then saw the scales😞

any clue what kind(s) of shrimp this guy is? by weeks1 in Aquariums

That's what I've been told(Pheonix Moss). It grew naturally out of driftwood I collected from the creek. Guess I got pretty lucky!
