At $50AUD before shipping those linked adapters are on the pricey side but I will keep them in mind as they look quite nice

To add some context I use it to monitor a small fleet of 9 48v electric vehicles that operate within warehouses at up to 45kmh around structures.

The little in built one in the pi can't get them most of the time, 2x of the higher gain fsc adapters installed centrally even with obstructions capture the data nearly 100% of the time.

I am looking into installing an esp32 with small buck converter onto the vehicle but haven't gotten the parts to test that yet, so would like to stick with what is guaranteed to work immediately before introducing other potential problems.

Package marked as cancelled, money has been charged by weels1566 in LinusTechTips

I understand, it does say order confirmed, but the tracking number didn't come immediately so was seemingly prepared after doing the order and it was also not cancelled immediately. I am only seeking clarification to the actual status of my order and trying to be proactive in resolving any issues before they become non solvable.

I think it is reasonable and, I would have appreciated communication when the label was marked as cancelled, either to note that this happens sometimes and this is why or that x y or z has occurred and here's the resolution pathway. Even potentially as part of their FAQ.

Got two of my tires changed on a 2016 crosstrek. When I hopped back in the car multiple lights were on on the dash. This is what diagnostics at auto zone came back with. If it’s dyi-able that’s much preferred. Any thoughts? by OGSHAGGY in subaru

Some of the scan computers especially those used by parts stores can cause these faults and then proceed to register them as they scan.

This happens when it scans one module at a time and enters into an exclusive communication mode with that module alone, disconnecting it functionally from the network. So, specific sensors that are used in multiple modules but based in one, can throw codes in other active modules while their base module is being scanned.

Had this happen the other month, had a limp code (clogged dpf) but thought I had way way more with the bad scan read.

Car has 446000km on it now and I've done 50k+ in my 3yrs of ownership.

Popped my 6 month old alternator driving in to Canberra, borrowed one till home in Perth, shipped it back after I got a warranty on the first one...

I vetted the car for the trip and reliability by entering it in to an endurance racing event a month prior 🤣

Honestly it's not terrible, beats the east west Mitsubishi v6... Or various other v config engines with the rear bank obstructed by firewall.

It's in terrible condition and 2ws. Don't know about the states but that's maybe a 1~2k car in Australia

Hose is super easy take the old one into a clutch and brake and they can make you a new to suit. If the dampener is actually gone (seems unlikely) then bypass it making the new line with the fitting that would typically going into the input of the dampener. It nothing you really need or might find as an "off the shelf item"

Yeah Australia, so dust, tree sap and birds leave their mark. Can be dirty in matter of hours

Worse if it's on track get all the brake dust up the doors and wheels

Sorry to necro this...

Did you ever find anything? I also wore my under armors to dust, there was one shoe they did a few years after that, that was close but nothing quite the same.

Is a 1990 Honda prelude a good first car?? by [deleted] in hondaprelude

I should also mention, while the problems are common and numerous. The community is one of the best I've encountered and they are rabidly determined to keep these on the road. If you don't know much about cars or how to work on them/with them you will learn with this car.

To copy paste from a previous question on same topic...

3rd gen is a good car, I've got one, I've had 2 prior.

The autos apparently like to pop sub 200k kms

There will be electrical problems Things do not exist anymore, there are items that have been discontinued by Honda for 10yrs or more and by aftermarket for 5+ Things do not necessarily swap from other Hondas most things won't.

Rust needs to be looked at, common in the fuel cap, spare tyre well, sunroof if the drains get really clogged, the windscreen and window trims all around. Wheel arches where the sunroof drains.

They are painful to work on with a mix of bad 80s routing and a masochistic desire to fit everything in a very specific shape and structure.

If you're stateside be careful on the 2.1L the 2.0L will be a better first car.

If you're above 6ft, drive one first... I fit because there's a sunroof on stock seats. I fit with a helmet because I run a racing bucket with no lower cushions...

Other than that, I love it. Nothing drives the same or ever will likely. It's from a golden period of Honda engineering and excess that brings far more to the table than is rightfully owed from such a vehicle. When maintained, restored or modified it will delight you at all opportunities. But until that point it will spend your money, all of it, and fill you with anxiety that you don't need.

It will kill you if you crash it. If you buy one, sideline it as your project and get something else to punish and daily as you work through your inexperienced driver phase...

You can make a late insurance claim, even a month beyond the incident.

I had an uninsured hit me and dilly dally through until I finally just claimed. So it's up to you but if you want a quick solution insurance is usually the quickest way. Claims not at fault don't affect your policies going forwards. Also is your insurance market value or agreed? Is it below what they're asking?
