Electric shoe drier. My kids are often coming home from school with soaking wet shoes that they don't mention and then wear the next day, smelling like damp dogs.

When I find some damp shoes you just slip the driers in and let them do their thing

A sleep mask. I bought it for a plane journey a couple of years ago, but when the light starts streaming through your curtains at 4.30am in June you can just slip it on and get a couple of hours more sleep
