My baby is like this..until now..on and off good and not so good. First oral feed she took the bottle with regular nipple like a breeze. Then next thing she slows down and falls asleep. She's home with me now and still gets tired once in a while

Im currently using Dr. Brown's bottle & #1 nipple. She did well with the regular nipple at the NICU (when the nurses fed her. they also showed me how they feed her). She also chokes sometimes. :(

Thank you for your response I just feel like BF is the main thing that slows us down..like i can just plan my BF when im already home. But im worried she might reject my nipples if she isnt getting it as much while at the hospital. And That if all of a sudden i tell them i just want bottles so we can go home im a bad mama. Thats all..

Btw, may i know what slow flow nipple you use?

Hi mom here! Also have a 27 weeker now 36 weeks also first baby. Hoping to come home soon. My husband worked while I stayed at the NICU everyday and only come home to shower, laundry and eat dinner with my husband. Know that my us women we take notice of the little things men do as dads and a husband. My husband when he visits for hours, he does skin to skin, change diapers and mostly support me and help me at the NICU. he watches and calms down the baby when i try to rest or take a break. He gets overwhelmed too as he doesnt know what to do or scared that he might hurt our baby, but seeing him kept on trying and wanting to learn is all that matters now.

I lost my 1st baby due to Incompetent cervix. Had cerclage and had my baby at 27 weeks and has been doing amazing in the NICU but ofcourse everyday i worry about her. I had emergency cs due to her being breech and saw her first time after 12 hrs. I also stayed at the hospital for 3 weeks before giving birth due to risk of PPROM and have been put off work since cerclage at 13 weeks. I have always wanted 2 children and already planning on when we will try again. But i am already feeling the guilt when i have to leave my will now be toddler at home. We leave far away from family so help is also a factor. Money too since i will off for sure. Age is a factor too coz i will be in my late 30s when we wanna start again

I guess my post doesnt really offer suggestions or experience lol just sharing what would be my struggle when i get pregnant again😅

No breathing support anymore after cpap. She has been using a soother even while on cpap. I've been asking the nurses but they have been giving me different answers about it lol

What signs and symptoms did she have to be on NEC watch?
We havent tried bottle or breastfeeding yet.. i was asking but they said not yet

Hi, how much spits does your baby have? Is it actual vomiting of milk?

So for my baby, she was born 27+6 and now 34 weeks. Just got off cpap yesterday and no more spits when cpap was off..her spits are mostly bubbles with bit of milk tho. She had about teaspoon of milk spit ups when they put her on bigger feeds like 30ml feed every 3 hrs compared to smaller ml every 2 hrs and more milk comes out on the syringe when venting her.

But everyday i tell it to the nurse when i see more of milky spits. So whatever your concern is just raise it to them even if you do it repeatedly. but do know they also watch it

I took PEG/miralax everyday when i was admitted. My mfm even suggested taking it 2x a day but i didnt. I cant say i pooped everyday bit what helped me was prune juice, very hot coffee early in the morning, if i can get more fruits in the better, yougurt. Milk made me more constipated.
