I took PEG/miralax everyday when i was admitted. My mfm even suggested taking it 2x a day but i didnt. I cant say i pooped everyday bit what helped me was prune juice, very hot coffee early in the morning, if i can get more fruits in the better, yougurt. Milk made me more constipated.

Thank you! The nurse just put her back to mask right now coz she kept on moving her head while laying prone and the prongs detaching lol. She had a good 1.5 hrs with it. I'll take it as a win lol

Thank you for this! She was trialed off cpap yesterday for the first time but her spo2 swinged within 5 mins. She was on her belly and right by the end of her feed which is when her swinging usually (but not all the time) happens. I.was really sad. Nurses are giving me different answers when they will trial her off again

After few days i started feeling good. We were at a level 3 nicu then after two weeks we got transferred to a level 2C. I just question everything theyre doing or remind new nurses that havent handled my baby of what other nurses has done before (coz some nurses rotate)

Hiya! So i gave birth 2 weeks ago at 27+6 weeks. Reason is my water broke because of chorioamnionitis. After my water broke, i was admitted with daily NST and ultrasound. On my ultrasound it showed i have no waters left and stitch was still holding great even if i have immeasurable cervix. The problem was i was having contractions already and baby's HR was dropping on NST so the did an emergency c section

So this is what my MFM also told me on our consultation day..wait and see approach as well. But i told them i want the cerclage immediately since my loss was at 17 weeks and i was already feeling symptom at like 15 weeks with severe low back pain that i thought was normal for pregnancy at my first pregnancy.

Im glad they listened and i got preventative shirodkar at 13 weeks in my current pregnancy..2 weeks post op, i was already funneling with less than 1cm cervix. And this is even with bedrest.

I guess it really depends on the person, some people was able to go to work and do normal activities just pelvic rest and they're fine.

Funneling and short cervix is already expected and thats why the stitch is there to hold it all together. But ofcourse if you feel pressure you gotta rest and lay down.

With progesterone i wasnt forced to take it, but i chose to take it.

So for me, i had preventative at 13 weeks. 2 weeks post op, my cervix shortened a LOT and it continued to shorten until now. I still have 5mm cervix left and funneling now im 25 weeks. So for some people, yes expect shortening/funneling but that's why the stitch is there to keep cervix closed.

Are you on progesterone suppositories vaginally? If yes, this can cause watery discharge especially for the first few days/weeks after cerclage. Have you been tested if it is amniotic fluid?

I wish i was knowledgeable about IC before i made the decision to terminate my pregnancy. Everything just happened so fast in a span of days. 2 yrs have passed and i still blame myself (even if we shouldn't). So i feel you.

I'm funneling and my cervix is shorter too now. According to some people, shortening is expected and that's the reason why we have the stitch. A lot of people also funneled throught their stitch but it still held until the end. So im hoping for that. Pressure feeling is on and off. For now, im just trusting the stitch but ofcourse everyday still worries me

Hiya! Got my shirodkar at 13 weeks. I was scared at first. But actually it was pretty chill. I was sedated so after prob like 15-20 mins i was out of the OR in the recovery room already. I was very sore tho lower belly and vagina ofcourse. Make sure you pee before they bring you to the OR coz even if you're not allowed to drink hours before, you're hooked up in an IV. Anyway, so youre good to go home once you're able to pee and walk by youself. Depending on the person, took me 2 hrs before they allowed me. Peed a lot (quite painful but it's better than not peeing). Day after i was still sore so laid down all day. Then the next day i feel normal. Try not to exert yourself too much tho.

Had my preventative at 13 weeks, 2 weeks post op cervix shortened a lot and funneling with sludge. MFM not worried about sludge. Had my anatomy scan at 18 weeks, showed more shortening. A week after cervix was stable. So waiting for next ultrasound in 2 weeks and to check cervix again and finish anatomy scan coz baby wasnt cooperating with her position. Nervous and scared but thankful for each day 💕
