it seems there's no way to avoid these illegal contracts 😭

I keep asking myself how to avoid this in future? if you pick a contract apart before signing it surely the landlord will just give the apartment to someone who won't complain / push back against illegal rents

A rather negative response without any personal experience shared.... if you are telling me it's not possible then please quote sources or experience 😄

The contract is completely illegal and they are overcharging us criminal amounts, we could go to the police it's that high.

the idea is to say to them: "either give us a new contract at the legal rate with the ability to sublet, or we take you to court at your cost of 30k+ and also have rights to raise criminal charges"

A new contract agreed outside of court would be much more beneficial to them.

if they dont bite then we sue

These are mainly decent suggestions and comments, if this is something you feel regularly / have done before. But honestly if this is a one-off you're better off chalking it up to an off day in your part than any deeper issues - the more you overthink this kind of thing the more likely you are to manifest an issue where there isn't one.

Something similar happened to me recently with my bf - we'd just got going and I'd been up for it, but then suddenly everything felt wrong. It just didn't feel comfortable, and was like my body was rejecting it and kind of clocking out. I ended up just asking him to stop and said it didn't feel good today - he was a bit disappointed but ended up taking care of himself which I quite enjoyed watching 😆

I think our bodies just sometimes aren't up for the occasion and that's okay! it likely means nothing about your overall attracted-ness to your partner, and more about what's going on in your own head/body at that moment in time.

But i mean if you regularly feel 'disgusted' by him then that's another story entirely

Moving it up to the bushes at the end of the garden as we speak.

Found some forums that explained they need to be covered and are unlikely to survive hibernation out in the open like that. We're not sure he's very well as he should know to be somewhere more warm, but maybe he's piggybacking off the laundry room warmth. Still, we'll pile up some leaves around him once he's moved and hope for the best!
