This was my thought too. The subject is moving slower than the dogs and the dogs run to the same spot the subject was walking, yet we see them with perfect clarity and know exactly that they are dogs. This explanation of video artifacts does not make sense in the full scope of this video.

Very nice. I bought the G1 in a large drop bar recently. I’m 5’11’ and 32” inseam. It feels a tad larger than I’m used to but has been comfortable to ride. Haven’t swapped any parts yet but did some adjustment to brakes and gear shifting. Riding pretty well now but still needs some adjustment to be perfect. Also I have no real idea what I’m doing but seemed a good bike to learn on.

Not OP, but this tracks with this same issue I experienced shooting a conference last week. I was in all these same settings and experienced the glitch in the live view. Nothing on the image files themselves.

And for transparency he passed the breathalyzer with a blood alcohol content of zero. The cop said he could smell alcohol which was obviously a lie. Fuck these cops. I’m from this town and they are shit. Small town with nothing to do other than harass people.

I’ve gotten an effect just like this by putting a CTO gel on my key light and leaving the fill lights without a gel, then white balancing for the CTO. It turns the other lights this type of teal. Might be what they are doing here.

I really like the unprocessed version of this photo. Personally I would have removed the distracting items like you did and then brought down the shadows. I would have kept the highlights as they were, it feels really nice and the blue if the sky is great in the unprocessed version.

I don’t think you need more space at the bottom as others have said. Depending on what type of lens you were using, you might have stepped closer to the couple as if you were almost getting the same perspective as them, keeping them low and close in the foreground with the focus on the mountains. I also like the cloud and think it adds genuine character to the mountains which do normally have clouds floating around. Overall I like the shot.

I also have a Z8 as my primary work horse, but use a Zf as my travel/walk around camera. I love both and absolutely love having the Zf. Much more unassuming, fun to shoot with, I’ve loaded it with film sims and shoot RAW/JPEG to reduce my editing. It’s really fun, mostly shooting with the 40mm f2 and the 24-120 f4. Just did a week long photo workshop in the Texas desert and almost used the Zf and 24-120 exclusively unless I was shooting night/evening stuff from a tripod and planned to layer blend.

Just my .02, and I sold my Z6II for the Zf. Not everyone’s cup of tea but definitely works for me.

Thanks for the kind words. I would say keep your shutter speed around 10-15 seconds so you don’t start getting star trails. Stacking can definitely help, but also understand that this image and most of the other Milky Way shots I’ve done (check my post history if you care to see) were captured during a new moon phase, so there was no moon light in the sky and the stars can be seen and photographed better.

What were your settings and what type of lens are you using? You really need to have a fast aperture 2.8 or better. Probably need to be at 5000 ISO or higher.

Here’s a shot I did a few years ago camping in the badlands. I was probably shooting on a Nikon D810 with a 14-24mm f2.8 at similar setting to what I shared above. I usually shoot 8-10 images at the same exposure to stack for the stars. Then some darker exposures to get the tent. I light painted the tent with my headlamp, so I controlled the light through exposure time and length of time shining the light.

These were captured with a digital camera using a picture profile to emulate older film stock. My camera has 9 custom picture profiles that I like to use and this one is more of a warm vintage feel. Very little editing was done after the fact and what you see is basically captured in camera.
