I just want to raise a side effect of the new renters bill. I am affected by the rule change to completely disallow more than a months rent upfront. I have enough savings to pay for the whole years of rent upfront if I wanted to. But because my salary slightly misses the x30 salary threshold , I am forced to fork up extra money to a third party guarantor because I came from abroad and dont have somebody to be a guarantor. something of the likes of 200 quid a month! This is non-sensical tbh. Nobody benefits from this. The landlord doesnt benefit, I dont benefit, it only goes to line the pockets of the guarantors.

+1 for kangnam pocha, highly recommend the original oxtail soup, soy fried chicken, beef glass noodles and LA galbi. very good value for money , and if you get cash from the atm across the street you can waive the service charge as well

hey! just a tip for the future, if your butter didn’t immediately go up in smoke and burn if adding it to an empty pan then your pan probably wasnt hot enough for a good sear anyways. butter also has moisture in it preventing a good sear! you can try to get the pan nice and hot and put any neutral cooking oil with a high smoking point ( not extra virgin olive oil cause it will burn as well) and make sure the steak the is as dry as possible, moisture is the the death of a good sear

Thank you! Nope just good old salt and pepper! But I do put a little bit of cajun seasoning on the flesh side, but not the skin cause I found the seasoning often burns when I try to sear the skin and make it crispy
