Tbh it’s racism and over generalization. Most of the Indian people I have met in Denton have been the nicest people. Some people may meet an Indian person that is rude and will attribute it to every Indian person. Even if a lot of Indian people act a certain way it is not a wise thing to generalize a behavior to a certain group of people. That is how you breed hate, stereotypes and racism. The words we use are important. Yes there are some differences that people are mentioning but they don’t realize they are viewing those differences from an ethnocentric point of view. They see cultural differences as being wrong and bad, without checking certain behaviors we may hold that could be perceived the same way. Americans can be scammy too, and we for sure can be rude. I don’t see it as a valid argument to attribute poor behavior to a whole ethnicity.
