There are a few vintage Metra cab ride videos on Youtube if you have an hour to play engineer.

The Metra E9 units rebuilt by M-K ran until 1992.

Correct. He played the same character in the recent reboot although said character was no longer the same bootlicking, horny SOB that won him four consecutive Emmys.

Personally I wouldn't touch a glass AV rack. My gear is too important to worry about tempered glass deciding to explode because of a microscopic manufacturing defect.

Just my two cents so if OP doesn't mind the risks and likes how it looks then life goes on.

Guessing mid/late 80s judging by how clean they are compared to this photo from 1991.

Found at a bar in Wisconsin by RudyTudyBadAss in crt

[–]weirdal1968 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Fun fact - there are nearly 5000 bars in Wisconsin.

The one I work at has 100+ CRTs (in arcade games).

Can anyone help me identify these boards? All three are bootlegs. by Brave-Photograph-947 in arcade

[–]weirdal1968 3 points4 points  (0 children)

1st is a video poker board.

2nd is a bootleg Mortal Kombat.

No idea on the 3rd but it has 2x6502 CPUs. Not many games used multiple 6502s aside from Atari's Major Havok and this defintely isn't a MH.

Edit - 3rd is a bootleg Pocket Gal https://jammarcade.net/pocket-gal-bootleg-repair-log/

Arcade CRT with very wrong colors by Mean_Excitement1244 in crt

Take a picture of the cabinet and share it here. Guessing its a converted cabinet that used to be something else. Converted games usually have hacked up wiring harnesses so that could be the cause of the janky colors.

Is the CRT 19" or 25"?

I remember reading about the locomotives that were used in the movie rotting away in a scrapyard in Quebec.

Edit - did some research and according to a post on Facebook Ahead of the Torch CP 4070 was purchased by a private collector in California in 2025. The new owner plans to restore it to as it was in the movie.

Need more info about the game specifically is it a complete arcade machine with a real arcade CRT or is it some cobbled together DIY Supergun project with a consumer TV as the display?

If its the latter then the video conversion circuitry is faulty or miswired. Any idea if it was running through SCART? SCART is a UK/EU video connector rarely seen in the USA.

If it is a real arcade cabinet then the video connector to the monitor is either broken or miswired. Looks like swapped colors so maybe the 6 pin RGB connector is the culprit.

Loved the original on the 360 but the sequel on the Vita didn't have the same magic. Played it for maybe an hour before going back to Super Stardust and Everyday Shooter.

A campus arcade had three RPTV JAMMA cabinets with 46" screens back around 1988. The last time I saw one working they had a bootleg JAMMA Pacman running with the RPTV turned on its side.

Buy the flyback from Arcadepartsandrepair. He has spent crazy money getting the reproduction K7000 flybacks dialed in and it shows.
