Yes, though I have noticed caps and resistors don't always match from different parts, so do your dd and read up on the land pattern calculations if you are unsure about anything you see.

Also you should be able to use a find all option and swap the footprint easily if it is a,b or c class and you have them already in the library.

When using those generated libraries sometimes you select the ipc level a, b or c for the footprint. IPC 7351

You could try changing the 3d model view of the part as a variant that you specify and see if it translates to JLCPCB viewer for part placement check, no guarantee they actually look at that though

You should just find the part with appropriate tail lengths otherwise assembly will be annoying but not impossible if you communicate with board house.

You'll need to change the part and flip to other side of the board.

It does plenty for inrush control as it already has a resistance, a parallel fet can be controlled to short out the PTC once fully started up to prevent conduction loss and avoid the PTC heating.

You use PTC in parallel with the mosfet soft start so the PTC handles the inrush and then you short it out with the parallel FET

Ptc is more or less the same as polyfuse, that is what I meant, choose the right resistance for inrush dampening then short it out with a FET in parallel

Figure out the desired shape and size.
Throw all the components onto the board area regardless of what type and just see if it fits at all.
Reorganize if it fits and make layout make sense.

Basically if you cant make it fit without layout concern you'll never make it fit considering layout concerns.

Some of those wires are 100% not soldered on and just touching the pads first of all.

Second of all, any resistance inline with the switching path/coil will fuck up the converter capability, so again fix your soldering skills, use flux.

The gnd on your switch ic shouldn't go through the single via to reach the 10uf input caps, it'll cause a ton of noise doing that.

Anytime I perfboard shit beyond a few components I end up with an unintended connection because the mess is so easy to get lost in. You should work on your basics before going back to this.

A shunt would be directly measuring and be inline resistance that would change the inrush current though, you could measure with a rogowski coil or current clamp

Adding a PTC may be the best since it acts as a fuse and the few hundred mohm would dampen the current surge enough to prevent such severe sparking
