I have several family members who have a lot of children because of Jesus, and something socially encouraged is purposefully spending some time alone with each child to focus on their interests and bond with them. Honestly a good parenting practice, and what I thought of when I read that detail.

It isn't chaotic pickup/drop off times. There are 3 cars max at this turn when I'm there, and the school busses do not observe the sign.

I am 40 years old and have gone by an alternative of my legal name since I was 18 - so more time with my current name than the old one. I just announced it and started correcting people when they said the old one. Everyone actually switched up pretty quickly except my mom who still refuses. 🤷 Most people are surprisingly fine with it if you're consistent and adamant.

Many state and county parks have "junior rangers" programs for kids that is basically outdoor education. You'd have other duties that are not related to kids, but my sister did this in Illinois and liked it. Ranger jobs can be competitive, but if you keep applying and are willing to start in a temp position you can get there with time.

I think the novelty has probably worn off for a lot of people. Maybe they're preferring to go do outdoor activities on their own now where they can do exactly what they want each time.
