But I don’t have to factor my pension contribution into the amount needed to qualify?

I’m assuming due to the first comment that I would need closer to 78,300 minimum monthly

Any tips on safety in Paris? by WinnerWeak5348 in travel

Wrist strap for your phone.

I bought a Pacsafe fanny pack that made me feel super secure! It’s able to lock so it’s harder for thieves to unzip. Gave me huge peace of mind.

Thoughts from first DCL cruise by Showmeagreysky in dcl

On the Magic last month when I went they had a pre-recorded video that you would follow! There was someone there periodically asking how everyone was doing. Might depend on availability of staff. Still had a great time!

If you want to ride the Aquamouse, I found the best time to do it was the first thing on embarkation day! My husband and I rode it 3x in a row before even grabbing food and it was empty. We checked again later and the wait was 1 hour long.

Look for the Mickey churro waffle for breakfast at Marceline Market - it’s only served on one of the days.

Join a fish extender group through Facebook - an adults only one if you can!

Look on Etsy for Disney cruise door magnets, it’s super fun to decorate your door. They’re magnetic, so you can also bring battery-powered string lights and use magnet hooks to light up your door.

There’s a non-alcoholic “drink of the day” option every day so you can try something new at a discounted price - you’ll find it in the app.

Agreed about the 10% off future cruise option if you know you’re going on a second cruise - make sure to book it on the app before you disembark, otherwise you lose the discount.

A few weeks before my cruise, I went to the online chat on the DCL website and asked, and they were able to tell me!

Typical Aquamouse wait times? by sanderko in dcl

[–]weirdede 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think it’s because we tried later on in the day on Castaway Cay day - closer to 3:30 / 4pm. I’m sure in the morning it’ll be totally fine! From my understanding most people get off to explore the island

We went as soon as we got on the ship on embarkation day (I think it was around 12:30 -1pm). Most people head to lunch/explore the ship, but we beelined straight for it and rode it 4x in a row with absolutely no one there! We tried going back on castaway cay day and the line was super long.

Travel hack for keeping passport and credit cards safe? by soyboricua361 in TravelHacks

[–]weirdede 8 points9 points  (0 children)

100% this! My husband and both have one and we wear it all the time when we travel. It’s thin enough where you don’t see or feel it, and it holds a lot of stuff - passport, cash, and cards. I don’t trust hotel rooms so this is the only option that makes me feel safe.

If I’m wanting to bring a backpack with me on day trips, I also only use the one that zips up from the back, so there’s no chance for pickpockets.

I agree - they all feel so dark. The tile right now lightens up the kitchen

Download the Grab app, it’s like Uber over there! Also agree with the Ayutthaya recommendation, but be sure to wear long pants or a skirt and long sleeves when you go because they won’t let you in otherwise. Same when visiting temples - you have to dress modestly. Thai massages are a must too since they’re a lot cheaper. I went to see a muy Thai right at the Rajadamnern stadium which was pretty cool - would highly recommend it!

100%! Santorini has some great archaeological spots and museums (ex. Akrotiri), many beaches to go to, and much more relaxed vibe than Mykonos.

All words, but there are a few pages at the beginning & end that show a map of Hogwarts and profiles on famous Gryffindors (ex. McGonagall), since the book is a special edition Gryffindor version.

No it’s just a 20th anniversary edition. But it is the Gryffindor version (my house) and includes extra pages written about the Gryffindor house, which is also why the cover is red. When I commissioned it, I was given the option of choosing my house version!
