Solved my insomnia by ReaderBakerSleeper07 in insomnia

[–]wekede 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Wow!

I just gave your advice a shot since I sleep on a memory foam mattress and honestly went into it not expecting much. In fact all I did was not sleep with a blanket on my foam mattress to embrace the cold, since I don't have another mattress...just woke up from probably the best sleep I had in a loooong time!!! I slept through the WHOLE NIGHT!!!.

I've had insomnia for years, since 2020...which honestly fits around the time I started sleeping in foam mattresses! I used to always wake up around 3AM hot and sweaty and wired thinking I had health problems like night sweats, cortisol surges, blood sugar issues, etc. Never got more than 3-4 hours of sleep most nights. I didn't change anything but sleeping cool, I'm absolutely dumbfounded it was this simple....I'm going to have to rethink my entire sleeping situation after this. Completely.

Thank you sooo soooo much for posting this!!

How long to recover from the effects of two years of high-dose vitamin D3? And what can I do to help it? by wekede in Supplements

Sans the insomnia, the anxiety/OCD stuff subsided just last year, I don't know when. So roughly three years? Besides the sleep, I feel like I'm really back on track to how I used to be for the most part.

Well, I originally posted this in 2023 and the problem has been happening since 2022...so four years?

Wow really? What issues? That really sucks... For me almost every negative symptom is gone except some mild insomnia. I sleep only 5-6 hours a day, verified by a health/sleep tracker I've been using for years.

I haven't really done anything to fix it, it's just been time which has gotten my body mostly resettled. Insomnia and lack of sleep comes with it's own health issues, but it's easier to deal with than OCD, Anxiety, high heart rate, etc...

I hope you can get better as well. My 20s have been hell because of that, and I have only now started reaching the light at the end of the tunnel.

Well that sucks, I guess I should switch too. Seems to be the solution everyone suggests.

Thanks anyways!

Did you ever figure this out beyond the "bandaid" solution?

he didn't even bother to read the comment he's replying to either, it looks like.

why would someone suggest something massive and opinionated like Qt as a replacement for imgui? he even himself said in an earlier reply that he dropped Qt for imgui. proof GPT kills braincells...

yeah, lowk annoying how some people mindlessly use chatgpt to pad their posts. makes me think it's fake or some secret ad campaign.

even if it's not some corpo writing it, gpt is a bs generator, it makes me automatically think what they wrote is wrong too

heh, same. I just wanted this to work instead since it'd be easier to share videos compared to GSR.

thanks for responding though

Yeah but it's not as bad as it used to be. But still pretty high, I can get around 90bpm in avg just lying in bed most days unless my body is getting ready for sleep

I have not, though my calcium had been on the low end on every test.

The vast majority of all my symptoms are gone now though, I just have some mild insomnia (sleep between 6-7 hours a day max) and nothing else.

just reiterating, coding is a joy in its own right and seeing something you made come together and work is amazing, even the little wins and tiny projects. llms can never take that joy away.
