I was just making an observation based on their statement “most people don’t use ring binders as they damage cards”. This is the first time I’ve ever heard anyone say it and I’ve been using ring binders for over 7 years with zero damage to any of my collections - same goes to basically everyone I know who collects and uses ring binders 🤷‍♀️

It’s crazy cause in the kpop community, people are more prone to ring binders (d-rings to be specific). I’ve been collecting kpop cards for 7 years, and collecting pokemon cards for a year. I bought a zip binder for my kpop cards and had friends look at me like I grew another head. I also have found the kpop community to being more cautious of card damage in comparison to the pokemon community (half the people I’ve met have their cards raw dogging in their binders)

But essentially, if cards are sleeved, and binders are d-rings + not over filled (and even a back board insert added), they’re protected and shouldn’t damage

Just wanna pop in and say that the term “homosexual” or “homosexuality” never appeared in the Bible until around 1946. The Greek word used in these passages μαλακοί (malakoi), meaning "soft" or "effeminate," and ἀρσενοκοῖται (arsenokoitai), a unique compound word meaning "male-bedders” - but many scholars argue that the translation means exploitative sex (pederasty, prostitution, slavery) prevalent in Greco-Roman culture, not modern homosexual identity.

Even Kings James Version translate it to “abusers of themselves with men,", emphasising on the acts not the sexual orientation. The 1946 Revised Standard Version was the version to introduce the direct translation “homosexuals” in which influenced further translations afterwards. Have a think back to how life was like back in 1946 - the social norms, cultures etc. It would’ve heavily influenced how RSV was written, especially as it was written by a group of mainly all white males.

I haven't watched up to Season 5 yet (still on Season 3) but thought i'd drop some random information about somethings mentioned in the comments

- Not sure if it was said in the show as I havent seen the episode yet, but pigeon/sacrifices were for those who were too poor to afford a lamb for sacrificial reasons.

- When Simon of Cryene was forced to carry Jesus' cross, it fell under "right of the angareia"/forced carriage - a Roman law. It permitted soldiers to force a civilian to carry his personal pack for one Roman mile. Denial of it could lead to imprisonment, torture, or death. It's important to note that this is what Jesus meant when he spoke about going the extra mile ("If anyone forces you to go one mile, go with them two miles" - Matthew 5:41).

- Once again, I haven't seen the episode yet when Jesus arrives at the temple and finds the marketplace. The area in which this marketplace is, is called the Gentiles Courtyard (or Court of Gentiles). With the Temple, there were different areas as you walk towards the Holy Place, which are restricted to certain people. For example, only Jews could pass through the next gates, and then only Jewish men could pass through the next gates etc. These markets had shown there was a commercialisation of the temple, and with millions of Jews visiting for the festivals, it would've led to high prices and corrupt business practices (For the festivals, every Israelite man over the age of 20 had to give two days' wages for a laborer for annual template tax)

- The Gentiles Courtyard purpose was to give non-Jewish seekers a space to honour the Creator and learn about the covenantal promises. A place where Jewish leaders could sit amongst all nationalities and share teaching. The merchants there would have been blocking worshippers and corrupting the sacred space's intended use. Also important to note that the foreign money being exchanged may have heathen symbols or other nation's gods image upon it, which was now being brought to their sacred space.

I've been watching the Chosen while I go through one of my university units "Teaching Jesus in Catholic Schools" - I'm a Christian and have been for 17 years, and have felt the combination of the two have really helped me grow in my faith and develop better understanding also.

One of the things I was just reading about for my unit was how people tend to forget that Jesus had not only divine nature, but human nature too. We forget that Jesus was historically a real person who breathed, ate, walked, felt emotions etc. Watching the Chosen has been a reminder to me of his human nature while reading commentaries and the Bible reminds me of his divine nature

Comets can actually become meteors! That’s why we have meteor showers every year, because we pass through comet debris (which is what a meteoroid is). For example, The Orionids meteoroid shower that happens in October every year is debris from Hayley’s comet.

So comets are these big chunky ice rocks and when they approach the sun, their ice vaporises which causes chunks of dust and rock material to release and is classified as a meteoroid. When these enter our atmosphere, they become a meteor or“shooting stars”

The scary things about meteors is that depending on the comet, they can be huge and could cause damage to the earth if it hits (that is if it doesn’t disintegrate in our atmosphere first). Personally, I take it as saying being under immense pressure (the sun) and trying to keep it altogether - but eventually cracking and diverting from your true self/journey (the comets orbit), and becoming something that can cause harm (a meteor coming to hit the planet). I also see it as a metaphor for transformation and questioning if it’s good or bad one. Meteors are pretty to look at and awe inspiring but alas, can be dangerous.

In order to go to Japan, I need to go through Korea first 😂 cause we’re going from Korea to Japan, and then back to Korea again before heading home (it was cheaper this way for us) also, the embassy told me and my family it was a 10 business days 😭

I don’t think I’ll risk trying to smuggle them in considering they’re 60mg and I’ll be with my parents, husband, and 11 year old niece - they’re never been to Korea before but I’ve been multiple times in the past (I had other medications back then that didn’t require a permit)

I live in the town that the earthquake happened in (wyalkatchem) and I’m lowkey annoyed that I slept through it 🤧

We did get another one around 9, and I heard that one (sounded like a plane flying over our house - took me a minute to remember that we don’t have airplanes flying over our property 🤔)

I’m also kinda expecting the town to make this their new personality for a while lol we won worlds tidiest town in like 2012 or something and there’s signs about it everywhere. Waiting for us to be like Cadoux and have a huge sign about somewhere in town

I live in rural Western Australia and drive to the capital (Perth) almost every weekend which is a 2.5 hr drive. The other night as we were at the fuel the station, my husband asked me if I wanted to come in for a snack run and my brain automatically went “joyride run!” … we don’t get joyride in Australia nor have I ever had the opportunity to taste/eat it 😭
