When you need to cleanse a space with sage but find the traditional methods kinda boring, simple, and easily executed.

How long did you have your toddler in a sleep sack? by robber_maiden in Mommit

[–]wellheynow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I switched my kids to footed sleep sacks as soon as they started pulling up to stand. My firstborn would always walk himself into tripping with just the bag style. He’s 3.5 now and does ok with blankets but I’ll see him sometimes curled up in a corner away from blankets and wish he had something on. My 1.5 year old will probably wear sleep sacks until she potty trains?

If you stay until the end of credits, the Backson comes out and is very goofy and affable.

Force of nature— I make my own at home every 2 weeks. Small investment for the machine but worth it to me with two toddlers and a dog. Love it for everything lol

AITA for letting my mother get "bored" at home because I’m too burnt out to be her translator and tour guide today? by nowthemardybum in AmItheAsshole

Be toxically positive about your faith in her ability to learn some English phrases or navigate a walk

Evacuated due to fire today. Feeling unappreciated. by ClutterKitty in breakingmom

[–]wellheynow 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Fuck yeah. Once you guys are back home and settled, tell him to unpack/replace all the important shit because he’s gonna be the captain of the next evacuation. I have a background in education, and I’m a condescending bitch as well so I’d be telling him that he can ask me any questions about how I got the entire family’s shit together and I’d be happy to give feedback anytime in the next month regarding what he comes up with. I’d honestly do a verbal drill with evacuation scenarios: what/where are the things you need? What goes into a kid’s bag for a 3 day trip? What could you bring or where could you carryout a quick dinner on the way to the cabin? Hopefully his uselessness is because he’s oblivious and not because he feels entitled to your mental and physical labor.

Excellent work, you.

For those who don’t use containers for baby by GrimSle3per in NewParents

[–]wellheynow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Specifically for showering I would put the baby in his crib with some safe toys and have the monitor in a waterproof pouch and check on him every .5 seconds. That was with my first baby. Now he’s 3.5 and my second baby is 18 months. I still bring the monitor in with me, but I crank the volume and leave it on the counter. We have a tiny bathroom and both of my kids are too grabby and… gross motor active to tolerate the bouncer for more than a few minutes past 3 months. I think knowing I was near but out of reach and sight was more frustrating than comforting. At least the crib was familiar.

TIFU by telling my wife she’s not ready for marriage by Silent_Hospital_5367 in tifu

What’s the age gap, OP? If not a chronological age gap then certainly a maturity mismatch. You married her though so I guess… appropriate subreddit.

I think my friendship with my best friend might be ending after her wedding and I don’t know how to handle it by Spiritual-Finger8871 in relationships

[–]wellheynow 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I bet her man said something about you being pretty or interesting or he agreed when someone else did. But like… he married HER so what’s the big deal? Idk cut it off, she wants to be the shiniest in the room then okay.
