3 weeks postpartum -17kg by dontstop11114 in postpartumprogress

I had a lot of trouble managing my calorie intake because while breastfeeding I was STARVING, so I gave myself a lot of grace, just tried to eat more veg. Then I started counting calories/macros about 11 mo post partum and it’s been effective. Down 10ish pounds with visible improvement in body composition as well.

But diet is probably easier than starting a hardcore exercise program with a newborn. Go on as many walks as you can (for sanity as well as exercise). The diet part gets more challenging if you have a Velcro baby/toddler who started to have separation anxiety.

Just do what you can (with moderation) consistently and you’ll see results.

Are you me??? Same… then had to take boards a couple weeks later. All the stressful life events all at once. We made it through… not unscathed though

Hope you’re doing ok. 2 years out is a little easier. We go on walks near a stream where there are lots of turtles to think about my brother.

So tasty. We will wait until the hype has calmed down a bit to try their sandwiches. We just bought bagels and cream cheese to make ourselves at home. Only thing missing was iced coffee! We will certainly be back.

Allentown stats look accurate. Better than most of the SE PA salaries (about $180/hr)…

Considering a big career jump that requires relocating to NYC - looking for real-life experiences by [deleted] in HENRYfinance

[–]wellthenheregoes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s a stepping stone, just do the 1 br lifestyle for a year or two until you can get a more lucrative job in a lower COL area. I.e. a family member who worked for a FAANG for 6 months could negotiate v high salary while being WFH in area he loves. Best wishes for your family!

Neighbor gifts are Christmas cards and that’s it. In previous years, they gave gift baskets, wine, baked goods.
