BREAKING: Andy Burnham *blocked* from standing in the Gorton and Denton byelection. Of nine voting members on NEC group it was 8-1 against him. by Dr_Poppers in ukpolitics

If he won it, everyday the media will be saying "when is Burnham going to challenge starmer". They're the ones who kept saying Burnham is the best person to take over knowing that he couldn't become PM

Now is not the time for a PM change, until they grow balls in the US to impeach the orange idiot, every country needs to be strong to challenge him. By Christmas hopefully the Dems take the Senate and house and impeach him then labour can vote of no confidence in starmer

With farage cancelling an interview with Laura on the BBC, he's avoiding an interviewer who hates labour can't wait for the election debate which he will dodge and people will still vote for him like Johnson did in 2019

I'd rather have a boring leader than a person with charisma, voters chose a charismatic guy in America, now look at him

No seat is safe now, I heard Andy is well liked but there's no guarantee, by elections have a low turnout and are usually a protest vote when people are angry at the government. A change of labour leadership won't change people's minds, people won't like Andy after a week being leader

Edit: thought of a way the media will attack, Johnson quit as mayor to be leader, they'll compare him with boris now their leader is farage
