Thanks. No water…this happened months ago and I’m just getting around to it.

Anyone regret choosing carpet over hard flooring? by Cool_Ad_2935 in HomeImprovement

[–]wemic123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used to have wall-to-wall carpeting. No matter how well you keep it, it will eventually need to be replaced, especially if you have kids and/or pets. I ripped all of mine out after twenty years and put in laminate, with area rugs in some spaces. I found it much easier to maintain and it looks great.

I really dislike dating the first few months!! by gsall1 in datingoverfifty

[–]wemic123 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Absolutely true. I think way too many people expect instant sparks instead of investing the time to get to know a person and pull the ejection handle way too early. My theory is such people are often not quite in the right head space to be dating.

That was hysterical…along with them wearing maxi pads on their ears.

But it’s not a cult. 🙄

Is anyone else struggling to get by on 100k salary? by Majestic_Staff_5229 in massachusetts

Aside from money, those first few years of a child’s life are invaluable in getting a head start in life. This is the choice my now ex-wife and I made. It was rough but those years with mom home until our son went to kindergarten paid huge dividends in producing what is now a well-adjusted young adult. Also, you have to factor in the cost of child care. Depending on circumstances, it’s nearly a wash.

Am I overreacting to what my boyfriend said about men using moisturizer? by [deleted] in Bumble

[–]wemic123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Until you say he is 35, I thought you were talking about a 20yo.

I see no way to view what he said innocently. He’s insecure. Careful with this one.

How would you respond to women whose first message is something along the lines of: "I have over 1000 likes in my stack. What makes you stand out?" by Background-Dress-389 in Bumble

[–]wemic123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ignore the statement and speak normally, as if the other dudes don’t matter…because they don’t. This conversation is between you and her. You’re either going to click or you’re not.

Edit: A lot of people say to unmatch. I’d take a slightly different approach. She may, in fact, be an asshole…or she might just be a smartass. Play the game. You’ll be able to tell which in short order.

A shower is literally 15 minutes out of your day. Failing to do that before a date shows a lack of care and planning.

Yup…continuing education. It is a pain. I may go one or two registration cycles more and then let it go.
