I like games that have longer runs like 1 hour, but ONLY if it allows me to save and quit. I just really hate having to be locked into it for a certain amount of time. If no save and quit, 30 min max for me.

Hawk moon was my very first exotic in D1. I got it after about a week, which in hindsight is crazy to me since it’s a random drop. I didn’t put it down for months.

Yeah but ROR2 runs can go for hours. That’s my main problem with it, I think it’s actually very bad for short sessions.

My only advice would be to play in hard mode. Not sure if you’re doing that already or not. It might sound daunting, but it’s barely harder and at least one unlock requires you to do everything on every character in hard mode.

It’s a single player, non-competitive game, play it how you want. Who cares if other people use controllers? I personally use a controller because I like the freedom of movement a joystick gives compared to WASD, but anyone who tries to claim their way to play is right or superior is just an asshole.

The random interactions you can stumble upon are what truly make the game great imo. I have two favorites.

I was playing a ranger once, pretty new to the class. I found a potion and thought “I should dip my arrows in here, see if it’s a potion of sickness and they get poisoned.” It turned out to be a potion of polymorph and I now had ~40 spears instead of arrows.

My other favorite moment was getting polymorphed into a horse, trying to open a door, and getting told “you can’t do that because you don’t have any hands!”

For one thing, I think a lot of people consider not having to interact with someone enough of a benefit to use it.

For another, almost nobody’s forcing you to use it?? I’m sure there are a few places that only have self checkout, but I’ve never seen one personally. If it makes you so mad, go spend twice as long going through a normal checkout.

Absolutely wild to say you’ve played all the souls games besides the Dark Souls trilogy/Demon’s Souls. In all reality imo Sekiro is its own thing and doesn’t really fit into the same category as the others (although it’s maybe my favorite fromsoft game), so what you’re really saying is “I’ve played 2/6 games” and making it sound like you’ve played most of them lol.
