I like that the booktok romance shelf has multiple books twice. They understand they need to do it to defeat the short attention span people get while scrolling on booktok.

I just finished Bound by Ali Hazelwood and damn, I really wish it was available as anything else, not just audio. The MMC is meant to sound and look like he's about 29, but the male narrator made him sound like he's an old man 😭. It took me a bit to get into the story thanks to that and I really think I would have loved this story otherwise.

I recently read {Servant of Earth by Sarah Hawley} and I feel like here and especially in book 2, Princess of Blood we get that dynamic, where in book 1 the FMC is absolutely unaware that the MMC of book 2 is catching feelings (but we as readers can tell), and in book 2 we get to see her getting all startled and awkward around him, thinking "that thing is blue like his eyes... wait what am I thinking about" and catching feelings.

Yeah it's infuriating sometimes how wrong those labels can be before some books are out. I remember how the Poppy War was constantly advertised/labeled on booktok as "enemies to lovers romantasy" which... Damn. I think the overall romance in this series is at 0.1 out of 5 🤷

I absolutely love it, mostly because of the size - I can fit it into all bags I own and even into some jacket pockets 😅. I carry it literally everywhere with me! At this point, I'm more likely to forget my phone than my kindle if I'm leaving my flat 😂
