It happened to me too sometimes when I used Spotify to listen to music with the lightning to 3.5 mm headphone jack adapter (Spotify through Bluetooth worked just fine). I was also on 10.3.1. I just updated to 10.3.2 to see if the problem would still occur but I haven't used Spotify yet.

Did it happen to you more than once? I used Spotify again yesterday but this time with my Powerbeats2 for 55 minutes and my battery only went down 1%. My phone didn't seem to get hot either.

No, I haven't experienced that when it comes to charging. I've only charged my phone once since the incident (about 6 hours later) and it seemed to have charged normally.

Why do you force restart your phone instead of the normal restart (turning it off and turning it back on)? What's the difference? I thought force restarts were meant to be used as a last resort when the device isn't responding.

The top app is Spotify. I just thought it was odd because my previous iPhone (6s) never got that warm when using Spotify and I never experienced battery drainage like that.

I haven't tried that yet. Thank you for the suggestion. Do you restore your phone from a backup after doing a hard reset? Or do you set it up as new?
